thanks for the thought....I think, but Waz and I have an agreement over that, between the two of us. I left him in a real dicey situation over the whole HD issue, and asked to be removed from the forum(self-bannage).

This is perhaps, singularly the most disturbing insight into your psyche I've seen in some time.
While I'm sure you believe what you just typed out, it would require the utter dismal of reality by several peoples mentioned.

Quite a few things you've said in the past, or even this could have flown a year ago perhaps, but since I actually chat with these folks outside the confines of the internet, it simply isn't factual.
It wasn't until 5-6 months ago I brought this up on comms did I get a barrage of "slick-doms" that rather revealing.

Res, while harmless does have his moments, and was rather immature of me to block him....
You were blocked because of what I know. And in large part what finally drove me off.
But I keep hoping for a revival of this place and its former glory, but alas- likely never to be again.

I'm not sure what 'dismal of reality' even means, but I could, if need be, show you the PM/email exchange between Waz and I. I won't, out of the fact it's no business of yours, and was a private exchange, but we did discuss the matter. In fact, I always communicated to the persons running that board to simply take me off the list whenever I put them into a situation they weren't comfortable with.

Dawg, I don't know, nor care what you hear on 'comms', but as far as I know, there are only two people who have ever been members here who know me, personally, at all. So whatever you might have heard, I wouldn't take it too seriously. As another point, I don't see where anyone should ever take stuff on interweb forums all that seriously. Yes, I know we all can get worked up, but really, what's the point? I always try to catch myself and back away. That was the whole scenario in the thread to Wullie. It was a case of my catching myself being too negative and/or meanspirited and apologizing. I might jawbone with folks here, or when I was a member at the Pub, but really, the level of angst you seem to display is baffling. Hell, you know damned well that I have referred a couple folks to peruse your website in the hope that you got some extra business. I've quite honestly never said anything on these forums that I knew to be untrue, and I've always tried to inject a little humor into my responses when called for. The only person I ever felt crossed a line was Heavy, when he decided to use a forum to deride and insult my teenaged(at the time) daughter. My discussions with Waz centered on that and my feelings as to how it should be dealt with. Waz, who is a very good man, was already going through a lot of BS with a very ill son at the time, and was the last person who I felt should have to deal with an ongoing shitfest. So be it. Still and all, I sort of am puzzled by and a bit ticked off that you would suggest that I am ever anything less than straight-up with you or anyone. I am who I am: a 55 year old guy, descended from Virginia planters, son of a 33rd degree Mason, who led a sort of dodgy youth and turned into a boring, law-abiding political wonk after marriage and parenthood. I'm a happy, proud grandfather now, with the wife and I looking at retirement places on the Chincoteague waterfront. Feel free to come visit after we finally head down in a couple,three years...you could stand to mellow out on the island for a bit, it would seem.

I'd disagree, Res, on both points. While a shit-stirrer supreme, Dawg is essentially harmless. Clueless at times, as well, especially on both economics and politics, but harmless nonetheless. And, he does have his merits, albeit mainly outside these forums. He does excellent work on gunstocks and the like, and at least seems to be a caring parent. What puzzles me is how someone with a fairly young child can even be bothered getting as stirred up over stuff as trivial as CWOS.
