A Complete Waste of Space

Pudfark I'd like to hear your sentiment about the 4,6 million donation to NYPD. Is it pure coincidence that they've donated it right now? Open your eyes dude.

BTW nowhere am I saying that cops are bad and protesters are good in general. Some mobs need to be taken care of with force more often than not. And in the riot in Paris there where some areas (including near where I live) where the riots didn't last because as soon as they started burning shit the cops came and beat the crap out of them. Believe me it didn't last long at all.

donor to Local and State Police Departments is the U.S. Federal Government.

Specifically on your question....I don't see any collusion at all, between the donor and the cops. I say this because? The money donated went to buy laptop computers, to make reports with...Not riot gear. Also, the money was donated months before this incident occurred. You could probably argue that the "Fat Cats" knew about this "protest" months ago and "bought off" the police ahead of time? If that were the case? Why did they not buy riot gear/kit?

This "Movement", "Protest", "Demonstration", "Mob" or whatever name you want to assign to it?
Is lacking in the following:
Leadership
Agenda
Organization
Goals
Spokes Person
This has led to frustration on their part and that in turn will lead to misbehavior...which results in
what you have partially seen thus far.

One of two things are going to occur in the next week or two?
This "thing" is going to dwindle into nothing, likely, hopefully.
Or, increased misbehavior on a larger scale, resulting in greater arrests and injuries...

These folks lack the ability to "force" a change.
Here is what tickles me?
These folks make the "Tea Party" look like the voice of reason.
Why?
The "Tea Party" works with in the recognized system of rules and laws.
When the "Tea Party" assembles?
It is done quietly, lawfully and no problems to anyone.
The "Tea Party" does not disrupt commerce or peoples rights of movement/transportation.
The "Tea Party" uses the ballot box for change.

I did not write the above as a recruitment effort on behalf of the Tea Party...I wrote it,
to point out that both groups want a change. Which one is more likely to be successful in your opinion?

The donation was made several months ago... no relation to the current protest activity. Or perhaps they were aware that they would be targeted by organized protest well ahead of time? It is rather odd to donate that much money to a government organization... even though local donations to police are not unusual - a local 'thank you' above and beyond pay and benefits.

One of my gripes in this fast over crowding world is this:
People have become accustomed to speaking in generalities...Meaning: They choose to Not communicate in a specific, definitive manner. This has resulted in multiple interpretations, meanings and large scale confusion. It also results in arguments and wasted litigation, even violence. It also promotes more indecision and inaction. Then along comes the ugly word "Responsibility".... Because?
The word "responsible" cannot be used when the conditions or circumstances are not specified or defined.

Therefore, as long as someone speaks in generalities?
They are not "responsible" and they are not accountable.

So, generally speaking?

scumbag? Really? You might want to look past the Fox News spin. At any rate, I think this Wall Street Occupation thing, although chock full of a very diverse group of people, might galvanize the left. However, I don't think it should be a 'left/right' thing. As I have been trying to say, within these pages, for a decade, the big money is screwing 99% of all citizens. They are doing it daily. They coopted the tea party movement to further their own ends, and the GOP went right along. Just look at that currently popular 9-9-9 tax proposal from Herman Cain. 9% income tax, with ZERO cap gains or dividend taxes and ZERO inheritance tax?
What a freaking gift. I ought to be dancing, as I will rake it in under that scheme, but, sadly, I can do the math and see that no way does that either grow the economy or cover the current costs of government. So, what will result? No Social Security or Medicare for the elderly, no help for the unemployed or working poor. Nothing. Hell, we might not even be able to cover our debt and defense with that bullshit. And who laughs all the way to the bank? That's right, the same folks who have been fleecing the rubes and stashing the cash for years.
So, to sum up, I am at the point with this new 'Occupy' movement that I was with the Tea Party movement at the outset. They are on to something, and targeting economics/business wrongs will probably be more effective than targeting elective politics alone, but the wary part of me is waiting for some narrow interest to usurp the movement to no good end, as the Koch bros and their pals did with the Tea Party. Time will tell.

My point, I was trying to make? Was that this group of disorganized folks? Seems to lack clarity as to agenda
and purpose. The Tea Party mention, whether you agree with it or not? Was to show organization, clarity, purpose and application. The Tea party has people in congress and the Occupy Wall Street folks have people on the side walk and street. One would think, Slick, that you of all people, would be the guy who would encourage everybody to work within the system. Can ya tell me who the OWS folks are running for office or endorsing?
