these people want to be leader of the US, but don't have the balls to stand up to Rush Limbaugh when he flagrantly lies, and then verbally abuses a regular citizen exercising her civic duties and free speech rights. That should serve us well.[
well lets see. I've just got a couple of comments about that I'll start with Bill Maher, the mans a slime and has said some very vile things about some Republican women including calling Sarah Palin a cunt. and yet here is our president saying nothing about that and then allowing his super-pac to take 1 million$ of the mans Money.
Current and former White House aides on Thursday rejected demands by a conservative group that a Super PAC supporting President Obama refund a $1 million check from comedian and talk show host Bill Maher because of coarse comments he's made about Sarah Palin and other Republican women.

While Obama earlier this week denounced similar comments that radio talk show host made about a college student, Sandra Fluke, White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters the president is not going to get involved in the Maher battle.

Carney said "language that denigrates women is inappropriate," but it is not the President's place to be the "arbiter" of every controversial statement.

"He chooses to lead by example or tries to," Carney said of the president, adding that "he chooses to try to practice that civility himself and he calls on everybody to do just that."
Yea right  lead by example he says  word of advise Mr. President, if your going to be a leader then lead...

then we have Sheila Jackson Lee and another democratic congress woman(cant remember her name) who blasted Rush for his comments, but when confronted and asked if they would have the same thing to say about Maher, refused to even speak about it and turned around and walked away. and these are Women no less, where is the out-rage??

I love the way the left doesn't even attempt to meet the standards that they set. it is truly despicable behavior and shows what they really are. PANDERERS.

When are you going to start paying attention to the conversation??
Maybe if you actually tried READING before you posted you might be able to understand the point of my comments

note, CUDA, that I never have said a thing about Rush or other 'entertaiiners' sayiing vile things about Obama, or Pelosi or other public officials. That, although often crude, is sadly part and parcel of public life in America. Likewise, Maher is free to take on GOP politicians however he sees fit. The Limbaugh attack was on a private citizen who merely wished to testify on a pending bill before Congress. If you cannot see the difference, shame on you.

you mean like when Vice President Joe Biden and lame stream media went after and tried to discredit Joe the plumber, who by the way is a Private citizen?? the difference is, Rush is a private citizen commenting on another private citizen. but Biden is an elected official smearing a private citizen.

if you cannot see the difference then shame on you

not to mention it's appearing that Sandra Fluke may have ties directly to the white house, and if that is the case then she no longer falls under that umbrella of protection you are offering.

This isn't just about Rush Limbaugh attacking one woman.
This is about Rush Limbaugh attacking all women.

If a woman has her contraceptives covered by a health plan, Limbaugh says that essentially says that she wants to be paid to have sex.
What a moronic idiot! It means the woman will have access to health plan subsidized contraceptives should she decide to have sex.

A few thoughts to ponder:
The health plan where I work covers contraceptives. Does that mean that all the women where I work are sluts?
My girlfriend Chipz is covered by that same health plan. Does that mean that Chipz is a slut?
If I have sex with Chipz three times in one day, does that mean that Chipz is a slut?
If Cuda has sex with his wife three times on the same day, does that mean that Cuda's wife is a slut?
Are all women who have contraceptives covered by a health plan sluts?

Make no mistake. Limbaugh didn't just attack Sandra Fluke.
He attacked ALL women!

I'll have to disagree with you RD. the point of this ENTIRE issue went right past you. this is not about Rush OR his comments.

Our Government came out with a mandate to FORCE people to purchase health-care or risk getting fined. which may be a violation of our Constitution. then they try to FORCE Church owned health-care institutes to provide contraceptives (birth control) which is a violation of their belief system and may be Another violation of our Constitution. then amidst all the fire storm of gaffs over this issue and the controversy and bad press this has created for the White house and Democrats during an election cycle. the Democrats trot out this young lady to testify before a congressional sub committee, a committee which she was denied access to. and when she is denied access to that committee by the chairman (regardless of what you think of the process) the Democrats hold their own hearing anyways. make no mistake Sandra Fluke main comments were on BIRTH CONTROL. not medical health issues. medical health issues would not prevent someone from getting medication to treat a problem. Then we find out this young lady has ties to Anita Dunn, former White house press secretary, so this "MIGHT all have been orchestrated by the White house.
Follow the yellow brick road. this young lady was trotted in front of congress for the sole purpose of taking the heat off the President and other Democrats during an Election year.
Rush was just stupid and swallowed the hook.

IMO

I do not want to pay for someones Birth control, I also don't want to pay for someones ED medication either. neither one of those are health-care issues.

I might have been born at night
but I wasn't born last night.

it's a shame when people don't look deeper into something. but alas that's what many of our politicians are hoping for.
