Silly 'mericans.
Your entire system is failing and imploding from within, right before your eyes.
Yet you can't see the forest for the trees.

It's hard to even feel sorry for you.

the only 'revenue' increases was a partial allowance to let a tax cut, enacted in 2001 and planned to expire in 2011, finally expire on the extremely wealthy.
The deficit reduction issue has ALWAYS been around closing tax loopholes, which WILL entail raising tax revenues from ALL people, for the sake of preserving vital programs and investments, which ALL the people seem to want(or at least the vast majority). Framing it otherwise is just wrong.

Ah yes... step one, return to a higher payroll tax rate, affecting everyone negatively who, yes, is on a payroll. Not to mention the upcoming bundle of taxes and regulations on health services known as the Affordable Health Care Act.

For those making over $250k, "the rich", deduction changes, rate increases, for +$600 Billion in projected revenue.

Those deals were made, now Obama needs to agree to cut spending, and he has made zero effort to do that. He will continue to ask for more revenue, and renig on his offer to make cuts in exchange. Obama has stated that "we don't have a spending problem, we have a revenue problem", an he will tax working people to destruction, if he can get away with it, because that's where the money is.
