no, the DNC does not equal 'Democrats'. Not in any way, shape or form. That is merely the national steering committee planning strategy for national elections. Democrat party members are widely disparate in their views, and always have been. So too were the Republicans, until pretty recently. Now, it seems they have to pass certain stupidity levels to qualify for candidacy, like calling for a sharp drop in taxation when faced with trillions in National Debt.

sure, it's a generalization. Last I checked, Snowe was still a Republican from Maine, Castle is still a Republican from Delaware. Still, the GOP is not the diverse party I knew when I was younger. Remember when guys like Nelson Rockafeller and George Romney had real power in that party? No, you probably don't, because you really don't know dick about politics. But, trust me, things have changed, and it isn't good for either the GOP or the nation.
