It's a rather sad commentary on America when you think about it. There are actually Americans out there who think that being offensive, bigoted and racist are positive attributes for an American President. And those people get to vote!

A given percentage are so driven by hate and fear(primarily fear, to the point of cowardice) to support a fascist response, and make no mistake that is precisely what Trump is selling. The parallels to Germany, post WWI, in terms of political rhetoric from some are unmistakable. The saving grace here is that we are in a pretty solid economy, and most people(by far most) here are repelled by that message. I posted Kasich's current ad linking the two eras, and you can bet the Dems would play that ad(or a facsimile) endlessly against Trump. They could beat him by 30% or more on election day, which would be the kind of wave that reforms Congress along with it.
