but, how many WISH him to be? That is the issue. Haven't seen a number over 40% ever for that, in the GOP. As for the general public, support has thus far stayed well under 20% of the electorate, those numbers will likely hold quite well.

Pudfark wrote:Poll: 70% of Republicans Think Trump Will Be Nominee

A new Rasmussen Poll finds 70 percent of Republican voters saying they believe Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for President.

The high number is significant, because Trump has been roundly condemned over the last week by most of the media and many national Republican leaders. The White House spokesman Josh Earnest even said this week that Trump’s remarks about Muslim immigration “disqualified” him from the presidency. These criticisms are obviously not altering voters’ perception of the political landscape.

no one asked for pics of your local grocery. Once again, you cannot answer simple questions. What does a poll of 'who people think will win' translate into 'how many people support him'? It doesn't. Most every poll puts the number at around 60% of GOP voters who don't support Trump at all. Hence, the idea of a brokered convention, but they'd do better by simply talking about 8 of those clowns out of the race before the primaries and let the voters sort it out.
