I know exactly 5 people with ZERO health insurance. In every case it is because they are lazy. No one has a 10K deductible either, among my fellow exchange purchasers.

The 'five' that you purport to know...is smarter than you. They get faster/better care for free....as they always, have. 8-)

I chose to move our deductable up to $2000 this year. Most of my friends hover between 2 and 5 thousand, which is sort of the sweet spot to not waste money on premiums, yet prevent a medical expense debacle. Works for me.
