Federal Appeals Court Rules Against Utah Memorial Crosses Along Highway
SALT LAKE CITY -- "The 14 crosses erected along Utah roads to commemorate fallen state Highway Patrol troopers convey a state preference for Christianity and are a violation of the U.S. Constitution, a federal appeals court said Wednesday."
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/08/18/fe ... s-highway/
I am sick and tired of Fucking Federal Judges sticking their noses in "States Rights Issues".....This kind of shit must come to an end...
Further, from the article:
"First erected in 1998, monuments were paid for with private funds and erected only with the permission of the troopers' families. Nearly all of the 14 crosses are on public land.
Two men behind the cross project have said they selected crosses for the memorials because the image of a cross can simultaneously convey a message of death, remembrance, honor, gratitude and sacrifice."
What the fuck? Guess, what's gonna be next? Arlington Cemetery...all on federal land...how many crosses are there? This is unbelievable disrespect....and it is NOT the law....
Remember this kind of shit in November....Vote all those thieving spineless bastards out.......

Clinton on Flooding: 'We Are Changing the Climate of the World'
"Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claims the devastating Pakistan floods that have forced thousands to flee from homes are linked to climate change caused by human activity, even as scientists say that such a connection is difficult to pinpoint."
I wonder what the "equivalent" Secretaries of State from China and India have to say about Hillary's statement....probably something like this...lay off the strawberry douche Hillary....we ain't reducing our population for a few "Paki's".....Anybody wonder what percentage of the world population resides in India and China...Pakistan's neighbors?
Old Pudfark sez: " Whose hosing who? Whose hosing you? Remember that in November..... "

if this was your usual type posting, it would likely merit ridicule

i have no idea what your saying there, or more how you arrived there,
With the exception of your post about things being backwards in OZ in another thread, (which I thought was pretty funny,) I could say the same about most of what you post.

of course he's a 'free' thinker. If he paid for that sort of thought process he demonstrates, he'd be getting ripped off. Ya get what ya pay for, I always say.

Question: What is a Liberal’s primary “feeling?”
Answer: Envy.
and
A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a liberal Democrat. She asks her students to raise their hands if they were liberal Democrats too. Not really knowing what a liberal Democrat was, but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands flew up into the air. There was, however, one exception. A girl named Lucy had not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different.' Because I'm not a liberal Democrat.''Then,' asks the teacher, 'What are you?''Why I'm a proud conservative Republican,' boasts the little girl. The teacher, a little perturbed and her face slightly red, asked Lucy why sheis a conservative Republican.'Well, I was brought up to trust in myself instead of relying on an intrusive government to care for me and do all of my thinking. My Dad and Mom are conservative Republicans, and I am a conservative Republican too.'The teacher, now angry, loudly says, 'That's no reason! What if your Mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?'She pauses, and lets out a smile. 'Then,' Lucy says, 'I'd be a liberal Democrat.'

once again, Wullie, you attempt to define what Liberals think. Are you a Liberal? If not, a nice hot cup of STFU might be in order. Seriously, what earthly relevance does it have for someone to 'define' people with whom he doesn't identify? Note, over the years, that I freely give my opinions based on what I believe, and try to avoid telling you or others what Conservatives believe, or even worse, 'what Conservatives truly feel'.
I guess I'm wasting my time trying to get you to see the difference between the two approaches, but really, you are just blowing hot air with utterly no real knowledge when you post drivel like the above.
