too late because the GOP has already gone first. IT'S ON RECORD. the GOP has already publicly said that they open to raise taxes on the wealthy. and the Democrats are on record saying that they want even more taxes. want to increase spending. and want Congress to give up the power to set the debt limit. there has been no offer for spending cuts.Buzz wrote:Or, the other way around. I'VE SAID THIS 10 TIMES ALREADY!!!!!
I'm not trying to be rude here, but are you intentionally try to play stupid????
have you not been reading about this or are you just taking an opposing position because you want to disagree with me??

Not sure how many times i've said the Repubs are not offering what Obama is asking for on taxing the rich.
We need more income, and cuts to pay off the debt. Why fight any part of that? Why is the Rebubs against taxing the rich to begin with? It can only help pay off the debt.
If Obama got what he wanted. How could he not then make some cuts?
Do you look at the whole picture, or just your side? I'm not for any side. I'm for getting something done for the good of the country. Right now I see the Repubs having to make the first move. They don't have to do it by faith. As I already said. Say to Obama we'll give you what you want. Now, what are you going to add to it? Then they can vote on it, and get something accomplished.
If they don't like what Obama offers. They don't have to vote on it. They have never said they'll give Obama what he's asking for, so right now, they have no idea what he'll offer back.

but they are offering. that is more than Obama is doingBuzz wrote:Not sure how many times i've said the Repubs are not offering what Obama is asking for on taxing the rich.
Agreed, which the GOP has offeredWe need more income,
agreed. which the Democrats have refused to offerand cuts to pay off the debt.
they arent quit listening to the lies of the democrats and do some research. Why fight any part of that? Why is the Rebubs against taxing the rich to begin with?
which the Democrats refuse to address. IN FACT they want another Stimulus WTF!?!?!?!It can only help pay off the debt.
no one in a sane mind believes that he would. and as I pointed out the Democrats have lied several times in the past to get tax increases by making promises to cut spending SEVERAL TIMES, why should we trutst them to keep their word. you didn't like Romney over his comments on Jeep, but you seem to want to blindly believe that the Democrats would cut spending when they have a LONG history of lying about itIf Obama got what he wanted. How could he not then make some cuts?
I AM looking at the whole picture. but I also believe in "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"Do you look at the whole picture, or just your side?
*SIGH*Right now I see the Repubs having to make the first move.
THEY HAVE!!!!!!!! LOOK IT UP AND STOP BELIEVING THE DEMOCRATS LIES
your continued insistence that they make the first move just makes you look partisan. the GOP made the first move. the Democrats made NO move. cmon buzz you CANNOT be that ignorant.

Ok, no more discussing politics with you. You make too many assumptions that I don't research anything.
First, let me say i'm on nobodies side like you are. I'm on the side of America, and the seniors. (because they're helpless, and at the mercy of the rich)
I've never got involved with politics on this forum before. Now i'm reminded why.

CUDA is clearly hallucinating actively, Buzz. Don't pick on him. If he thinks he sees Republicans proposing something, well, let the lad enjoy his delusions.
Truth clearly doesn't matter, no actual news reportage. He's in the grips of some serious chemicals now, just let him run with them.

Re: "Fiscal Cliff" The GOP needs to vote now.
OK then tell me how I can come to any other conclusion. you lay the blame solely on the GOP, never admitting even for a split second that the Democrats have any part in this mess. it's ONLY the GOP's fault in your mindBuzz wrote:Ok, no more discussing politics with you. You make too many assumptions that I don't research anything.
when I show you that you are wrong, and that the GOP has made concession. you ignore it and come back spouting Democratic talking point LIES.
when I point out that you are wrong still, and back it up with facts, you ignore it and come back spouting Democratic talking point LIES.
when I ask you to point out where the Dems have made ANY concessions you just say that the GOP didn't do enough. laying the blame all at the feet of the GOP AGAIN, and then you come back spouting Democratic talking point LIES
I point out to you that the Dems only want to spend, spend, spend, and then spend some more, plus are trying to Violate the separation of powers put forth in the Constitution. and what do you do????
you ignore it and you come back blaming the GOP spouting Democratic talking point Lies.
so that leaves me with only two conclusions.
1. you DON'T do any research, and you rely only on what you wish is true.
2. you only care about the handouts that they will give you FU to everyone else.
which is it. because your OBVIOUSLY ignoring the truth.
when you finally agree that the GOP at least made an offer at least has made an ATTEMPT to resolve this issue instead of coming back spouting Democratic talking point Lies. then I'll agree with youFirst, let me say i'm on nobodies side like you are.
I agree with you, and it's the only thing that you have said that has even the smallest grain of impartiality to it. OH and as I stated earlier and will once more for clarity. there are more entitlements then just medicare. so maybe you should focus on the rest of the nation TOO stead of just one demographic of itI'm on the side of America, and the seniors. (because they're helpless, and at the mercy of the rich)
I'll tell you why. because your not very good at it. you cannot admit the truth. you stick unfailingly to spouting Democratic talking point LIES. AND UNTIL you choose to see and admit the Truth instead of spouting Democratic talking point LIES. then we are going to get no where and you are partisan despite your insistence otherwise.I've never got involved with politics on this forum before. Now i'm reminded why.

Re: "Fiscal Cliff" The GOP needs to vote now.
The President's proposal, which will be put forth as a bill this week, if Boehner allows it on the schedule(big if) goes as follows:
Bush tax cuts remain for under 200K individual, 250 couple income
Medicare expenditures trimmed 400B over 10 years
Stimulus moneys(I've heard a few figures) largely aimed toward a private/public partnership for infrastructure rebuilds.
In short, what he ran on and won with.
Now, I see cuts in there. $400 billion of them. Further, as I pointed out elsewhere, this only deals with a small part of the 'fiscal cliff' nonsense, it doesn't start to deal with the amount of sequestration that starts in January. Thus far, neither side has put forth a proposal to deal with those cuts. I presume the 1.6 trillion that is gained in tax revenue could be applied to lower those cuts, but, like I say, I haven't heard anything specific.
Now, why, CUDA, do you keep repeating(in bold type, no less) that the Dems haven't proposed entitlement cuts? They did, and it's in writing on a website for a week now. Why do you keep insisting the GOP has accepted tax increases, because they have thus far not had anyone in leadership admit to it? Why do you claim that the GOP has put anything on the table by way of a plan, because they haven't(Geithner requested, again, for them to do so this morning)?
My only conclusion that made sense involved hallucinogen ingestion on your part, likely peyote, or a bad combination of amyl nitrate and ether fogging your brain cells. What is your explanation?
