stubborn? I think I'm trying to deal with a sad reality in our nation. The issue is far-too-ready access to powerful weapons, and people like you just want to make excuses, come up with idiotic analogies that really don't hold up, and dance around the reality. There have been 181 school shootings since 1999. There have been 61 mass shooting murders since 1999. That's 13 years. They damn near had a second mass murder in Oklahoma the same day as the CT shooting, but luckily intercepted the kid en route to school. Houston, we have a problem, and feeble-ass excuse making is essentially allowing our citizens to be a risk, and worse, it now seems our little kids are ok to target with the gun nuts. I say this as a long-term gun owner, as well as a father and a grandfather. This shit has to be curtailed, somehow. And yes, I think it is very wrong that the discussion only gets started when something horrific happens, but sometimes, that is the painful reality of how our nation works.

It's a dab funny/interesting to me...I'm the ex-cop and you're the guy who says he don't trust people. You trust folks every day with objects that are deadly to you and yours...You trust everybody when you drive down a narrow two lane road at 55mph and you never think nothing about it. Hell, you even trust the booger flicker at burger doodle when you order food at the drive thru window. I could go on and on about this...just seems to me that you're running around with yer dress over yer head, screaming "danger" and you're the one running into everybody.

What really gets to me? I'm not telling you what you have to do. You're the one telling me, what I have to do. You're telling me what I have to give up. I'm telling you what you should be taking on.
