Damnit Obama failed to use an executive order....
I really wanted to see the Teddy Nugent crowd go POSTAL.
His crap legislation will never pass the house.

"For the record" love the quote below by the Liberal liar Callmesick.... never trust him or any "Liberal".
Newhampshire has slightly above average population density for a US state.

As you well know/no...HH
These libs are not concerned with the accuracy of their remarks.
They're more concerned about the accuracy of our guns.
One good thing did happen today...I'm surprised no one anywhere, that I could find..?
Mentioned this...? It is? That Obama knows some of his limitations, much like a small dog knows where the fence is.
It's a better day in America...today.

Oh guys times is different now... back in the day, the range of social misfits and sociopaths that didn't show much potential for military duty that made up the SS.... were still fairly intelligent and well educated, making them pretty dangerous.
If the POTUS finds a way to arm-band up the TSA and the like, they're so fucking stupid if they showed up at your door, you could completely throw them off-mission with a few fancy words or distracting wave of the hand "Look! a monkey" or some such. No actual Jedi mind trick required. Buzz would probably have it easier - Buddy would probably instinctively bite the nearest loping brain-dead piece of RED meat....

thanks guys, for illustrating the need to tighten the mental health part of background checks. Some outright hallucinatory stuff, above.

What "mental health background check"...no data base exists.
It doesn't exist.
It's a "scouts honor" type thingy on the BATF form.
Doctor/Patients along with Lawyer/Clients have a similar legal relationship.
Until that changes...nobody is gonna have that data base and or the imaginary
info that you and others think is "there".
I am not putting you "down" for it...I was charged with the responsibility of knowing all of this at one time. It ain't changed....yet. Though, I agree with you, it should.
The sooner, the better, for us all.

the database does exist, at least in most states. What will happen is to attempt to standardize across all states, and incorporate the data into background check process.

I think you will see that process change a bit......

sorry to let you know, but your doctor is legally mandated to report certain findings to the authorities, including signs of self-abuse, signs of abuse by others, many common medical conditions for the purpose of transportation licensure, evidence of seizures, etc, etc, etc. Thus, adding gun license or purchase databases to that list is EASY, and, if I read the Orders correctly, WILL be done.

you were in a different position, if, by the above, you are viewing it as a police officer. No, a Doctor cannot be forced to testify to a policeman in most cases, but reporting to government databases for the purpose of licensure or public safety(the latter data getting forwarded to cops) is required.

All of what you wrote...ain't accurate.
Yeah, in terms of a "drivers license" or "pilots license/medical".
Just outta curiosity? Cuz, I don't know? Where is the medical requirement
for a "gun license" and reporting for a Doctor.
No offense, intended whatsoever...I see it sorta like this:
Doctor to Patient: Do you possess or have available to you any firearms?
Patient to Doctor: None of yer feckin bidness.
Doctor to Data base: I have no feckin clue....
Or, worse....Patient: Never goes to see a Doctor....Nothing Reported. Sale Finalized.
Or, worse than that.......ABUSE by Doctor...who says (to limit his civil/criminal liability) Everybody is a "nut case" and now my ass is covered.
I think we could both agree, that no system is perfect.
I think we could agree that to "bum rush" it, ain't the right thing either.
Nothing is in place to accomplish, what you say you want.
The way that it has been presented for the last week...has set it back for years.
You didn't do it, I didn't do it...Obama did it.
Totally the wrong way to go about it...just like his and Biden's statements...all it did
was drive gun sales through the roof....it's gonna take a long time for people to trust again. Maybe, never.

some states have this, but not all, but my point was that it is perfectly legal.

or, the doctor could write, Patient Refused to answer. Sale Denied?

agree, but see nothing the least bit 'rushed'.

sorry, don't see it that way. Time will tell who is right.

this radical progressive type thinks that gun regulations can very well be Constitutional:
