I'm not ignoring, I'm merely sick of stupidity....CUDA and anyone else ought to know damn well that the GOP bill would do nothing except punish the least well off in society, and that is not a viable solution to sequestration. I'd never 'ignore' CUDA or anyone, but, on the other hand, I don't feel the need to rebut repeated stupidity, such as claiming the Palestinian Authority is a terrorist organization.

beyond, 'Coburn says'....there is utterly no proof to back up his words past the standby duties. Further, in many jobs, you HAVE to put people on standby, because if needed they are needed immediately. Just happens....I used to have on-call time in the med lab field. Were you the person requiring weekend stat testing on your cardiac enzymes or your expectant wife needed fetal lung testing during premature labor, you would have been glad I was on 'standby'. Very telling in the whole article is the disconnect around, 'workers who are 'AWOL' are getting paid millions of dollars' and 'cracking down on this practice could save billions of dollars'. Nice math.

Yet again, no mention of the 500 million dollars to the PA and U.S. workers being laid off with No PAy.

foreign relations have to go forward, it is in the national interest, and clearly supercedes any gain that can come from the money stateside. You see, Presidents have a big-picture view to deal with, a good one(which Obama clearly is) takes a long-term cost vs benefit approach. With any luck, Congress will do what it was supposed to do and deal with the deficit/debt situation with a fair plan and then the sequester will end. Worth noting, with the cost cuts already made by the administration and the cost cuts in Obamacare, coupled with the tax hikes already agreed to, we are more than halfway to the 4.2 trillion target that led to the sequester. Congress really doesn't have to do anything that either left or right would find radical, imo, to finish the process.

hardly....any good American ought to realize that self-defense partially rests on our conduct and responsibilties around the world. You clearly don't grasp that, not that I would wish to call you 'Un-American', as that title fairly reeks of the old McCarthy era.

I have no problem with keeping ties to strengthen our position. but your continued denial that the PA is not related to terrorists is just flat UNTRUE
WASHINGTON — A U.S. federal district court has ordered the
destruction of a secret memorandum that links the Palestinian Authority to
the killing of three Jewish teenagers.
The federal district court in Washington has ruled that the PA could
conceal a document that linked the Ramallah regime to a Palestinian suicide
bombing in which two Americans and an Israeli were killed in 2002. The memo
was mistakenly relayed to attorneys of the plaintiffs in their $300 million
lawsuit against the PA and the Palestine Liberation Organization
Norwegian aid to the Palestinian Authority came under public scrutiny in Norway last month following a documentary by the NRK public broadcaster showing that aid went to inciting hate against Israel.
During the second intifada, the Palestinian Authority was directly involved in the planning, funding and execution of terrorist acts. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, who were second only to the fundamentalist Hamas (Islamic Resistance Movement) in conducting suicide bombings, were a subsidiary of Arafat's Fatah political organization. Although the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades are currently inactive, glorification and commemoration of terrorists continues unabated in the Palestinian Authority to this day. Only two years ago, a female terrorist, Dalal Mugrabi, who helped lead the massacre of 37 Israeli bus travelers in 1978, was acclaimed a national heroine by the Authority. A city square in Ramallah, a school and a girl scout troop were named after her. On PA Television, she was held up as a role model for Palestinian girls. One cannot simply extol cooperation between Israel and Palestinian security services and ignore officially-sanctioned incitement to further terrorism, especially not while advocating continued U.S. and Israeli funding of the Palestinian agencies that fuel such incitement, in direct violation of the Oslo accords.

So let me get this right Suicide Bomber does not = terrorism when it's done by the PA or against Jews. sounds like liberal speak to me.
