Re: an old subject for question.....
IT WAS NOT A REGIONAL POLL, YOU IDIOT
so, you are upset(to put it mildly) that Obama didn't keep troops in Iraq. How many? How would you have paid for them? How would you have backed them up, if a group like ISIS came at them? Why, again, should we have kept them there? To accomplish what? While you're at it, what did we EVER accomplish in Iraq since 2003? There, a LOT of questions you haven't come CLOSE to answering. Get to it, because merely tossing stupid shots at Obama doesn't cut it. Do better, and explain WHY it's better.

Really? Well, let me publicly state, for the record ... that I don't give a flying fuck if that pipeline gets built or not.Pudfark wrote:What I said about keystone and Canada...it's the truth and while R_D won't admit it..publicly?
If it gets built, I'm good with that.
If it doesn't get built, I'm good with that.
Canada will be able to sell it's oil either way.
No worries.

It's your oil R_D...you can continue to grease yer butt hole with it for all I care....
The U.S. has plenty of it's own oil and can build our own pipeline...in a couple of years.
I shall have a chuckle....about how far, you're gonna have to build it.

If you don't give a shit about it .... why do you expend so much time and effort talking about it?
If it's a non issue, why do you keep trying to make it an issue?
Unless of course, you're completely full of shit.

I'm back...server done.
Now to your question R_D...Why?
I'm actually going to enjoy the explain...
First let's get this outta the way....I gave you an "olive branch" and as expected, ya shoved it up yer butt.
Here's your "Why"? If your country chose to sell it's oil to the U.S. instead of China, yer pipline is much shorter through your country and If you choose to believe Slick's "opinion" that pipelines are dangerous? Then you should be mature enough to understand my meaning/reference to distance. However, proceeding further to the most major point...IF y'all sell us your oil, China will have little recourse other'n to "deal" with the middle east , their resources and their problems. Do you require/need further explain? I'm capable of more.

Factor this new development in to what ya said the other day.....callmeslick wrote:I pray we go nowhere near Iraq, not with airstrikes, and God forbid US troops. We should never have been there, and never should return. Let them, as Obama noted today, sort out some kind of political process that can work, and then we might help it succeed. What they've put in place so far isn't right. Oddly, it's starting to look like old Joe's solution of about 8 years back was correct. Divide the region into 3 autonomous zones or even separate nations. One Sunni, one Shiite, and a Kurdish homeland. People scoffed when he said it. Looks like the last laugh is on Joe.

I will credit you for...at least attempting to read liberal rag info...I try too.
Though the color changes would make a chameleon blush/frustrated.

Iran is not aiding, nor was it ever, a Sunni Militia. Never. Ever.

Re: an old subject for question.....
As I've indicated before....Obama deliberately "screwed" up our departure in Iraq and the gains and sacrifices made by others and their families. It is now impossible/implausible to go back there and do anything meaningful.
The "smart" move would have been to evacuate all American personnel out of the country...days ago. Instead, he chose to play golf and send in 275 more troops and as history has recorded....he'll sacrifice them. You may not agree with my "take" on that? Let's say, you don't. That would then become the "manufactured" excuse, to go "all in" to save them.... I believe that you and I could agree, that neither scenario is acceptable.
So, that leaves....Leaving as the only viable/doable long term option...one that as of this moment? Has no appearance of being done. Whether ya like it or not? Obama "owns" this mess now. I can agree, easily, that somebody else baked the cake....and on the hand off of it....Obama splattered it on the floor, deliberately.
Here we are now.........cake on the floor and slippery....soon, to be sticky....Obama seems willing to step in it and not give a damn about where he "tracks" it. I don't know about you? But, he ain't coming in my house.

Bottom line is this: you are finally going to see the sorting out of the whole Sunni/Shia mess in the region. The less involvement the US has, the better. In the eyes of Middle Easterners(possible excepting the Israelis and Egyptians, who we shower with money), the US has done nothing but fuck up in the region for 50 years. Let them do better.
