I own a 35 Rem contender.
Recoil is miserable with the 220 gr loads.
My plinking load is RX7 with a 9mm Speer 100 gr "gold dot" hollow point.
I did chronograph it but I do not
remember, it was 2,000 fps ~ though.
IMR 4227 also works good in Contenders with light bullets but a tad lower velocities.
Bullets are .355" but shoot accurately and blow fresh apples into the twilight zone!

Years ago a friend of mine gave me a box of 250gr boatail SP's for my .35.....I loaded a few of them up...no load data available...fired the first one off a bench/rest....and shot the rest standing...elbow hurt for a week...lol
That load would out penetrate another buddies...45-70 ruger with hot loaded 400 gr SP's.....
