The apostles didn't live in the time of Jesus?
It's you who needs the research.

I want to do my best to keep an open mind about this. This debate has been going on since darwin came out with his theory of evolution. I do want to hear what you have to say and try to see your side of things. But there are just as many holes in the theory of evolution as there are in the creation belief. The biggest differance is that the bible tells you to have faith. Sience doesnt leave any room and must show all the steps you take to get from piont A to piont B. But there are missing steps. Show me where the ape stopped and the homosapin started. As far as I know there is no fossals showing that.
Slick ...according to darwins theory all life started from a single cell of life.
http://www.space.com/searchforlife/life ... 01205.html
Most of life's history involved the biochemical evolution of single-celled microorganisms. We find individual fossilized microbes in rocks 3.5 billion years old, yet we can conclusively identify multicelled fossils only in rocks younger than 1 billion years.
Like I said I am trying to keep an open mind about this.
Slick can u post a like about fossals that were found where ape stopped and man started.

Bearkiller needs no facts.
The fact that most of what the bible is very old, over 5,000 years old.
That's 3000+ years before Christ.
The Bible was made up of stories from the area around
the middle east and the Tigris and Euphrates valley, modern day Iraq.
Yes Bearkiller, that is long before there was anyone resembeling a Jew
let alone a Christian.
Blooddrive, there is no one intermediate form. The fossil record for the transition
from a common ape ancestor was gradual and took many twists
and turns. The concept of a missing link is obsolete. None exists.
This chart may give you an idea.
From wikki

This list spans about 7 million years.
Sahelanthropus
Sahelanthropus tchadensis
Orrorin
Orrorin tugenensis
Ardipithecus
Ardipithecus kadabba
Ardipithecus ramidus
Australopithecus
Australopithecus anamensis
Australopithecus afarensis
Australopithecus bahrelghazali
Australopithecus africanus
Australopithecus garhi
Australopithecus sediba
Paranthropus
Paranthropus aethiopicus
Paranthropus boisei
Paranthropus robustus
Kenyanthropus
Kenyanthropus platyops
Homo
Homo habilis
Homo rudolfensis
Homo ergaster
Homo georgicus
Homo erectus
Homo cepranensis
Homo antecessor
Homo heidelbergensis
Homo rhodesiensis
Homo neanderthalensis
Homo sapiens idaltu
Homo sapiens (Cro-Magnon)
Homo sapiens sapiens
Homo floresiensis
The above is a list of currently known skeletons mostly from Africa.
Starting with the genus "Homo" are recognisable as human, although small brained.
Homo heidelbergensis is the oldest "Homo" with a regognisable modern sized brain
although on the small end of the scale.
Homo neanderthalensis or better known as Neanderthal Man had a larger brain
than most modern Humans.
The oldest homonid on the list walked upright and had modern looking feet.
But the upper torso and brain case was more ape like.
One big difference is the spinal attachment at the base of the skull was
designed for up right walking, while still more chimp like.
If you care to see the fossils or the artists rendition, copy and paste the name into your browser
then do a image or seb search.
Blooddrive, Ape never stopped and human started. We are great apes.

Re: HappyHappy
Ok Happy. I can see you've never read the Bible.
You have no idea what a Christian is.
I'll give you a clue. Christian...Christ...Jesus. Do you when he lived?
Do you know the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Before you put something down. You need to know something about it.
Once again you're avoiding the question. Putting down the Bible does NOT prove evolution. When do you plan on proving what you believe in so much?
I'm guessing never, because you probably know less about it than you do the Bible.
I still think you're 16 until you prove me wrong. (unlikely)

Re: HappyHappy
It is you that is painting with a broad brush.
You said the bible, not the new testament.
Yes i have read the whole thing.
as a student of military history the bible is a must read.
There is a lot of military tactics and violence in the old testement.
I have not seen any hard evidence of a historical Jesus as depicted in the new testiment.
Jesus was a very common Greko Judaic name in the era about 2,000 years ago.
The problem here is that discussing the origin of life with a hard core jesus freak
is like having a debate with a special olympian, there is no making sense of it.
No matter what is posted, you will just wave the bible and say NO.

Re: HappyHappy
The books of the apostles as written in the New Testament. Where do you think they came from?
You do know they were with Jesus during his ministry? They saw his miracles. They saw his reincarnation. They wrote about it. They died for him. Do you think they would write lies?
You don't know the Bible
"You said the bible, not the new testament."
That's a pretty funny statement, and proves you know nothing about the Bible and Christianity.
Seriously.

All of this makes me wonder? Missionaries or the Missionary position? Watching you fella's 69 this subject is past amusing....and akin to head butting a brick wall....a gentle suggestion is to step back, let your head clear....inspect the brick wall....and move on....in a Happy sort of way.....as was suggested earlier......not that I am or would take sides.......
Re: HappyHappy
I've never liked religious threads on this forum.
I'd like it if I never saw another one.
Corn on the cob is a better subject.

Re: HappyHappy
I'm trying to tell you....no one ever claimed that apes stopped, or that homosapiens suddenly began. There were gradual evolutionary developments, stops and starts if you will. There is ample evidence of that. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying or doesn't understand the fossil record.RS_Blooddrive wrote: Show me where the ape stopped and the homosapin started. it is a massive leap, evolution-wise, to go from a single cell to an organized multicellular organism. What you state above would seem completely consistent. At least you aren't claiming that the Earth is only 8000 years old.....We find individual fossilized microbes in rocks 3.5 billion years old, yet we can conclusively identify multicelled fossils only in rocks younger than 1 billion years.
see above....it didn't work that way, and no one claims it did. A google search for Homo Erectus might yield a better description than I can give you.Slick can u post a like about fossals that were found where ape stopped and man started.

And how would this differ from your political posts?Pudfark wrote:All of this makes me wonder? Missionaries or the Missionary position? Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.
