callmeslick wrote: really?? On what grounds?? Read the words relating to 'regulation of commerce' and get back to me.
Regulation means creating regulations (laws). It doesn't mean forcing someone out of their position in a privately owned corporation. Even if what he did was constitutional why in the feck didn't do that with Fannie May, Freddie Mac and AIG? They were the much bigger problem.
be he wasn't and didn't, so why focus on the matter??
You don't know that. Only he and his wife do
Once again, this sort of stuff is a distraction from the true problems, which are many, in the country.
Issues that are important to others may not be important to you. Like asking people that enter this country to do so legally. Matters to me, not to you. Doesn't mean my point isn't relevant.
What other president has ever been subjected to the level of disrespect hurled by some at Obama??
Bush. By your party and by you in your posts here. Short memory, eh?
wrong, Captain Spandex. I merely accept the reality that 12 million folks are already here
You'd scream from the heavens if 12 million armed robbers weren't aprehended, wouldn't you?
paying taxes
Bullshit. I live in one of the top 3 states that have the largest groups of illegals. Not true one bit. Hell, a year or so ago Res posted links from the liberal rag the L.A. Times that stated that 80+ percent of illegals pay zero taxes. Keep making shit up though, cuz it's easy to believe as long as you have your head in the sand.
raising American-born children.
Children born in America to parents residing here illegally. Which makes the kids illegal. Check out immigration law, pal.
I return to the basic question, then: What do YOU plan to do to effect this change?
My first step is to educate idiots such as yourself about just how fecking wrong you really are about most things political.
Another: what have you done, to this point, to get your input across.
My congress people's secretaries know my voice on the phone. I'm extremely vocal.
And, a third: how will term limits affect things whatsoever, when all they will probably do is create a merry-go-round of the same faces through different positions??
You're allowed two terms in any seat in congress. Doesn't matter if it's the house or senate. One two term seat. Period.

They don't think it's funny. They think I'm a pain in the ass.

keep 'em coming, rugg. I've had to spew two slugs of beer today thanks to this material!

here's a hint: I asked what you were doing to effect change. Yelling at secretaries until they view you as a pain in the ass probably is not very effective.
Also, you loudly referenced rights being taken away by Obama. I called you, and silence from you has ensued. As usual, I presume, you have nothing?? Like I said, talk is cheap. And, as your Congressperson's staff can attest, annoying.

Slick...not everybody gets to sit and break bread with them (Congressman&Senator) like you do (read in previous post) let alone stick around for desert and give each one of them a little "oral gratuity"....which, I might add is really oral here on the forums...

You have not come up with any solution to any problem on this thread...you just troll it...

Here is what I think: There are two types of Democrats......Socialist Democrats and plain old Democrats....and the difference between them? Socialist Democrats know exactly what they are doing...and plain old Democrats don't have a clue, they are just tagging along.....Which are You?

Old Pudfark....sez "Vote every damn one of them out of office ASAP"....

I don't yell and I get a letter referencing my call every time. That's how most of us can effect change, except from maybe a roof top. I'm not so fortunate to have dinner with a congressman, but I'd probably be ejected from the restaurant if I was asked my opinion and to answer truthfully. And therein lies the rub. The Fed has gotten so powerful that it's becoming more and more difficult to make change. They're getting farther and farther removed from the rest of us.

Maybe.......just maybe......Slick is "sucking" up to be a "Super Delagate".....he certainly seems to qualify in the verbage department.....Ya know "Ruggie", if it weren't for the second amendment, Slick might be leading us around on a leash.......The Brits tried it once and so did the North....the people of this country have a history of fighting for the right of self determination....The good thing to know about all of this is....most of the "socialists" in this country have voluntarily disarmed themselves....I wonder...if they push it too far...who is going to defend them? I clearly see their interest in Health Care.... 8-)

Fatman, No one could imagine it would happen then...and it did...and if you look at the history then and compare it to now...You will know that things are worse now comparitivly....The revolutionary war catalyst was Taxes and states (colonies) rights....just like now.....The civil war...was about states rights and the threat of collapsing the souths agricultural economy by freeing the slaves....Now, we have massive unemployment, financial institutions going belly up due to fraudulent conduct and huge bailouts to put them back in the fraud business and no new laws to prevent it and the Fed's trying to stick their finger up our butts under the guise of health care reform...To add to that, you have folks like "Slick" saying..."Roll over and take it like a man"....and I say that those that do...are bitches and punks....

When the first amendment ceases to work.....the second amendment comes into play...free men are not bitches and punks... Arlington Cemetary is full of honorable men who believed the same.....not only for themselves, but all others...

I'm willing to give my life for a good cause when the time comes. Granted, I don't intend to give mine but to allow others who disagree to give theirs instead.
