talk about batshit crazy, and you even mention evidence? Right now, the US ranks 26th in public satisfaction with healthcare delivery, and in EVERY single outcome-based study, we are far down the list as well. Oh, and Cuba? Not only does their average citizen have roughly the same outcome as ours in the US, they actually export their expertise to other nations. All that, despite such a piss-poor economy that they can hardly even pay physicians.

The latter two are much higher than 20%. I'll talk to my buddy again and ask him what those margins are.

yeah, I was trying to quote minimums, I am sure you are correct that in real terms those numbers are even higher.

Holy shit! What exactly is your definition of "batshit-crazy"?
(other than your post I just quoted, of course.)

I didn't see a "link" to any of the facts you posted, Slick.
It would be a dab easier to "see" and agree with your comments
with a provided "link".

mine have been cited, here and elsewhere so many times as to be boring to go dig up again. Further, I offered that Barfly provide even a shred of proof that I am not accurate. Seriously, Pud, do you doubt anything I stated? If so, let me know which part, and perhaps I will dig up old links or newer ones.....

I'll post for him:

A good summary. Doctors for Oil, and of course medical personnel sent to Haiti:

Although just a few tidbits here, the info is very instructive. The Cuban government's effort can be interpreted as an effort of good will, but it is for the most part a very profitable endeavor for them both materially and for international reputation. To a degree of course, it's at the expense of the Cuban people, who's access to that level of care is extremely limited. Look at all the data around the net, talk to Cubans, see the obvious, or cherry pick the 'good stuff'. I liken the "Regressive's" perspective on this as akin to lickin' icing off a turd.

A nice summary of the Cuban health care system:

Some good points for discussion. The perspective is consistent with information I've gathered from expat Cubans here in South Florida, one of which was a coworker, who's uncle is currently a doctor / pastry chef in Cuba. No kidding, lol.
