You just did...I admit, I do.
and you or I have what effect on treaties or other policy, beyond voting for representation?
Easy Peasy....Conducting ourselves in a manner clearly understood by all, that
we are behaving in accordance to/with the treaty.... :)

how, exactly, do you 'behave in accordance' with International treaties? I mean, I presume you aren't shipping arms to Iran and all, but really?
Hell, you seldom leave Texas, forchrissakes!

no, it was a bogus choice and assumed that a one-in-thirty thousand chance was GOING to happen.
I'm calling bullshit slick.
I was going to call your 'choice' that exact thing, but decided to be more polite and point out the error involved in your example. Can't you see it? Or, do you not wish to see it?
No matter the odds of it happening. It still could happen, and you refused to answer.

The question wasn't...what are the odds of this happening?

well, if were to be certain it would happen(which I am not), I would choose the teachers defending the class. But, Buzz, don't you see how reality gets in the way of your example? What is a teacher panics, or worse, a bunch of them? Result-a hail of gunfire, killing more and prolonging the onslaught? What if no one attacks, but one of the teachers loses it? More chance for more dead kids. What is a teacher gets careless, and a 9 year old opens up with a handgun by accident? More dead. It's sort of like what they say in football about running a pass play, more bad things can happen than good. Except this is no game, we're talking about the day-to-day safety and education of little kids. And, to return to my core assumption, arming teachers is a REALLY STUPID idea.

You could say the same thing about cops. It's going to be the same training.

Better yet. What if it saved your grand kids?

By that example? It seems their would be a "track record" of Israeli Teachers running amok......

"arming teachers is a stupid idea"
Is that a true statement for Israel?

Have ya ever researched....How that works in Israel?
Don't throw the war zone crap back at us...

Do you remember as a child, in school, the drills about a Nuclear Attack by the commies? You know where all the kids had to get under their desks...to be protected.
Or did ya bump yer head? One to many times? Please to explain to me the harmful and deleterious effects you've suffered all yer life from that?

Are these teachers being given a choice?
Are they even being asked if they want to be armed?
Will teachers who don't want to be armed lose their jobs?
What about older teachers who can't pass the physical training? Will they be fired?
What about handicapped teachers? Will they be fired?
What if a teacher's religious beliefs doesn't allow it? Will they be fired?
Is every teacher going to be rigorously tested for mental illness?
What if a teacher fails the shooting training? Will they be fired?
What if a teacher is afraid of guns? Will they be fired?

Just asking.
