 Trump-mania is taking it's toll.... ;)

Six years ago...they were warned that something like this wuz gonna happen...folks was gonna get fed up. For all practical purposes...the DNC is outta the race. The RNC is about to shit themselves to the curb.

Carson is threatening an Independent Run and hints that Trump may as well...even wormy Rubio is squealing like a piggy. Good times ahead for the Revolution of 2016 and Trump to be forever known...as George Washington's equal. 8-)

Illinois State University, which has predicted EVERY Presidential race correctly for over 2 decades, put the Donald candidacy to the test. Bernie Sanders would win 304 electoral votes, Hillary even more. That is a shellacking. What the hell are you blabbering about the downfall of the Dems? I'd agree with a narrow focus on the demise of central party committees, that is a money thing(PACS and all). But you are delusional if you don't see a serious Republican downfall on the VERY near horizon. They are already coming apart at the seams and the primary season hasn't even started.

Just sayin' in a nice way...meaning it too...The 'old standards' to judge/predict outcomes, don't apply anymore. I do agree, that if everyone of the candidates 'fit the mold', they might?

However, the don't. History is being made now. To understand it, requires an open and objective mind. Your preconceived notions are blinding you.

the other day, a forum I've belonged to forever, made up of political wonks of all ideologies(only folks with actual campaign experience on the board) had an early prediction session predicting how many states the GOP wins in the 2016 Presidential. I can only see 4 solid states(Louisiana, Missisippi, South Carolina, Alaska), although I can see Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Utah and perhaps one or two other states in play). The overall consensus was 6 states, the most anyone predicted was 11. That doesn't win you an election, or even come close.

I understand the point that Trump, for instance, heralds a new dynamic. However, certain rules of electoral politics ALWAYS hold up, or have in every other 'new dynamic' we've ever seen.
History is being made now. To understand it, requires an open and objective mind. Your preconceived notions are blinding you.
no, Pud, I've been saying that for months now. This IS an historic election cycle, but for a different reason. We've only really lost two major parties over our history, and we're seeing the demise of a third. I'm sure a new party will come along, and the Dems will be realigned by that process,as well. Doesn't in any way mean Trump goes on to victory. When 2/3 (66% of all voters firmly stating they would never vote for him for President, you just don't overcome that in an election. He might not lose by 33%, but getting within 20 percent will prove a daunting challenge.

oh, how true. It will be fun watching you as this sinks in.

:) What Trump has earned in life. Everybody else wants to be elected to...(the short cut to prosperity & power).

Trump in the most brilliant of ways (stay tuned for more) has removed them and is using them against all others.
What has me laughing (nearly uncontrollably)...everybody, but Cruz, is attacking Trump, instead of promoting themselves.
Trump wins at every turn of events...and will continue to do so. Trump, thus far, has made this election about himself and you and everyone else....is helping. ;)
