Can you hear R_D and Dai singing O CANADA and holding signs to join the LIBERAL MILITIA and create ANARCHY LITE?

It'll be interesting as they gave up most of their firepower. :geek:

Their insult hurling is top notch, however. :P

geezus, y'all are SLOW. Oh, and speaking of insult hurling, wullie, you would seem to be no slouch.

Here's your problem, boys: You reduce government, you will have no choice but to seriously slash both the social safety nets AND the Defense of the nation. Cut taxes drastically, and you will have to slash them even further, essentially leaving the national government unable to protect the citizens, either from outside attack or economic distress. Thus you will have a frightened populace, in severe distress and threatened by external forces. Given that population is armed, you will end up with violent chaos, or ANARCHY. Not to worry, though, because that sort of situation will soon resolve itself into little groupings organized around and by the larger landowners, corporation and wealthy folks, who will pay folks to protect their holdings in exchange for security and sufficient food. Congratulations! You've returned to the Feudal Society of the 1200's.

I've learned by example. Thank you slick.

How about this scenario?

Cut bullshit billion dollar give aways to third world countries that are playing us against whoever just for the sake of free money and fair weather friendship. Align ourselves with proven allies. Invest some of those wasted BILLIONS in America and focus on improving both our defensive and offensive capabilities rather than gutting them to buy shit for ungrateful dictators.

When some third world ass hole takes a shot at us or our allies, instead of telling them that isn't nice, smoke the bastards like a cheap cigar, use the Israeli approach to problem solving. No quarter asked, none given.

Tighten up our borders and make immigration a privilege rather than a right. Require immigrants to assimilate into our society rather than letting them build a tiny enclave of their old world shithole they couldn't wait to get away from. Require English to be spoken. NO bi-lingual bullshit classes in public schools and get rid of the "second language" signs all over this country. In other words, treat them as they would treat us in their country, EXCEPT give those that really want it a shot at the American dream.

Require drug testing for welfare recipients. Require community service for welfare recipients.

Enforce the laws already on the books, we've got laws in place to cover everything from murder to elephant parking.

Invest in our own energy reserves and develop them to the max, RESPONSIBLY. I'm talking renewables and the petroleum/carbon side.

I think term limits on all elected positions would be a good start and make those elected to serve us in Washington have to abide by any legislation they pass. ( health care, social security, etc) and do away with life time entitlements/pensions just for getting elected.

ok, so far you haven't cut the deficit, and you have reshuffled roughly 0.2% of the Federal Budget.
Let's continue....

committing us to a policy in which we are worldwide pariahs, that has over time cost us trillions. Brilliant!

so, in other words, reject an immigration policy that has brought the nation diversity and strength for generations? Are you aware of how Italians, Irish, Chinese, Russians and Poles behaved when they first arrived here? What's truly amazing is that no mention of lowering taxes, nor addressing a deficit yet. What a great political plan. I wonder why no one is running a Wullie-style campaign.....

The rest is just fluff as well. Here's the problem, Wullie. We spend around $4 Trillion per year. We take in a bit over $3 trillion in revenue(taxes, mainly). Of the outflow, 50%-plus is spent on Defense, 36% covers Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and Debt payment. You haven't addressed the real issues in ANY fashion whatsoever, you've merely strung together a nice batch of mean-spirited, jingoistic bullshit. And, in a very real fashion, you illustrate why the Tea Party types are bad for the nation. Another cycle of cluelessness is not going to get us out of some VERY real problems.

Good answer. Always ridicule and talk down your damn nose to those that disagree with you.

You're so fucking smart, why aren't you running the show?

Yes, I'm aware of how the early immigrants lived. My people did the same thing in Texas you're talking about. They're from Sweden, BTW. Nobody kissed their asses, OR the Italians, OR the Irish, OR the Chinese's either. They came here for a better life. They learned and made something out of themselves. Yeah there are "chinatowns" here and there and Germantowns etc, but they are AMERICAN and they abide by the law of the land. They came here legally for the most part, even if it was against against their will as in the slaves case. I'd bet all my money and yours too that every "AFRICAN-AMERICAN descendant of a slave in this country couldn't be paid enough money to go back to AFRICA and live in that squalor.

As for being a pariah? Tough shit. I suppose you'd rather see us a third world country with our hand out for money. It's ONLY cost us trillions because we let it out of pity. If some asshole started a fight with you and you kicked his ass up one side the street and down the other, would you feel obligated to pay his hospital bills, raise his children, and buy him a new house? I suspect you would and if you did, he'd still hate your guts, but you'd feel good about it.

I think .02% of the Federal budget would go a long way spent here rather than Chad or Yemen or Somalia etc etc.

Wullie, I do believe that you have a good grip on this subject....What Slick and company are most afraid of is folks like us....One of the reasons Slick and company "fear/hate" us...is the fact that we don't/won't allow them to bullshit us out of our money or our country.... This they find very threatening to their existence and future.... It is reasonable to expect Slick to react in this manner....and when you factor this in, to what he writes.....it's a tickle....

Old Pudfark sez: " If Slick wants to remain a "turd", he should expect to go with the flow...... "

it wasn't that you disagreed with me, you didn't address the real issues that face the nation.
You're so fucking smart, why aren't you running the show?
because most of the folks that share my insight are more than willing to watch their personal worth rise, and don't worry so much about the rest of you. I march to a different drummer. And that's the problem you actually are up against......people like me ARE running the show, and have been for the past couple hundred years, it just that most of us stopped caring about you like we once did, out of sense of social obligation.
I think .02% of the Federal budget would go a long way spent here rather than Chad or Yemen or Somalia etc etc.
frankly, most of that money we spend on foreign aid doesn't go to Chad, Yemen or Somalia. It goes, to a great extent to Israel, Afghanistan, Iraq and Colombia, in roughly that order. The rest of what we spend is, comparatively, chump change.
