I find this interesting. "IF" evolution is a form of mutuation over the millenia, then explain to me the Bio chemical sequences of DNA replication that are specifically designed to prevent DNA mutations.
SO
how can there be mutuations that caused Evolution from Apes to Man if the Bio-chemical design of cellular proof reading was meant to prevent those mutations?
Evolution (also known as biological, genetic or organic evolution) is the change in the inherited traits of a population of organisms through successive generations. This change results from interactions between processes which introduce variation into a population, and other processes which remove it. As a result, variants with particular traits become more, or less, common. A trait is a particular characteristic, anatomical, biochemical or behavioural, that is the result of gene–environment interaction.
The main source of variation is mutation, which introduces genetic changes
DNA replication, the basis for biological inheritance, is a fundamental process occurring in all living organisms to copy their DNA. This process is "replication" in that each strand of the original double-stranded DNA molecule serves as template for the reproduction of the complementary strand. Hence, following DNA replication, two identical DNA molecules have been produced from a single double-stranded DNA molecule. Cellular proofreading and error toe-checking mechanisms ensure near perfect fidelity for DNA replication.
now I admit that my understanding of Biochemistry is minimal to non-existant. but what I've read states that there is a protein wash that runs over every strand of DNA during the replication process. if an error OR mutation is found then it is removed and replaced with the correct sequencer.DNA polymerases are generally extremely accurate, making less than one error for every 10 to the 7th nucleotides added. Even so, some DNA polymerases also have proofreading ability; they can remove nucleotides from the end of a strand in order to correct mismatched bases. If the 5' nucleotide needs to be removed during proofreading, the triphosphate end is lost. Hence, the energy source that usually provides energy to add a new nucleotide is also lost
