Prolly a good idea that you boycott AZ cuz of the "racist" illegal immigration legislation the super majority passed. Cuz if I catch you here you're gettin' run outta town. Seriously. We have enuf east coast douchebags here. We don't need the queen of them.

Get over yourself. If I came to town you'd probably try to glom a free dinner. And, I'd probably offer, because that's the sort of guy I am. Mexican food ok?

Absolutely ludicrous from a weapons/military point of view. If you are talking about France or Slick? I could agree with you. History proves, that the time to put the fire out, is when it is small. Darkhorse, if it were only your house burning down, I'd say fine....you let yours burn. However, since I live on the same block and your problem threatens my house, please to pardon me for pissing on your fire.....

actually, Rube, I have exactly those priorities in mind when I said what I said. To wit: There is NO WAY the American public would ever embrace wholesale attacks on Muslims worldwide, or even in selected nations.
This is good, because, frankly, I don't want to live in an America that has so lost sight of it's historical code of conduct on the world stage. And, as Darkhorse points out, we cannot do anything but hurt ourselves by continued military operations on a limited scale. Thus, it is in the best interests of both troops and civilians that we tread very lightly in a military sense, and try like hell to get along with the billion or so non-belligerant Muslims, which can be found in southeast Asia, parts of Africa, Turkey, etc. In the long run, we could then focus on domestic security and, at the same time, save a lot of pissed-away cash to make our own economy and nation stronger.
Try this word substitution on for size and see if it fits:

What's good for the goose? Is good for the gander?

Everybody understands that not all Muslims are terrorists and your attempts to discredit that with me are lame. My attitude and sense of self preservation, along with that of my family and country, will never allow me to submit to Muslim authority, religion or terrorist attack. You, however, are still free to leave and join them.... I don't believe that you and yours will last long in their society.......It seems to me, that they don't like whining submissive pussies, anymore than I do......

Old Pudfark sez: " Better to hear it from me and do something about it.....than to hear it from them, whispered in your ear... "

Indonesia on that list of yours?
Yes, I was assigned to JSOTF-P, Task Force Archipelago, based at Camp Navarro, Zamboanga del Sur Province, Philippines for six months and was very happy to leave that place.

Here is a little taste of the future for the "surrender monkey's" here......

Muslim Official Blames Michelle Obama for Handshake in Indonesia

It is something short of an international incident. Still, Indonesia's conservative Muslim information minister is apparently upset, saying he never meant to clasp Michelle Obama's hand in a welcoming ceremony Tuesday, but the American first lady "held her hands too far forward," making it impossible to avoid touching.

Come on Pud, I'm not talking about the ability of the military; I'm referring to the people.

I'm down for a free meal, if your downtown let me know. There is a Mexican place right around the corner. Maybe we can sneak in a drink or two. :P
