pretty ignorant, generalized and closeminded stuff from someone who ought to know better.
I would be the first person to walk into the bar and buy both you and R_D and drink...sit down and shoot the shit....Often times, when folks converse in writing...things come across as impersonal and tone is missed. I have never tried to pick a fight with either of you....and yet I won't shirk one either. What I choose to post is not about our personalities and to stir up conflict. It is solely meant to provoke thought, not each other....Slick, I don't believe that I was wrong, in believing the same from you... Since the beginning of this year, I changed the way that I wrote about things....I changed more towards a centrist view in terms of exposing both sides....Other folks, who had a more provocative, confrontational views have dropped out (both of them conservative)....My views have not changed. However, the way I present them has.... Word..I do realize that you have made concessions to me. I am appreciative of them. I had hoped, still do, that we can have a reasonable mature dialogue. That we can agree to disagree and yet retain our mutual respect for each other and ourselves....I do believe it is about being informed and opinions do matter....to include yours.
Careful speech is appreciated by all.
Them what ain't careful, get an ear full.
Anybody can say anything if they preface it with "IMHO"....
Careless folks don't and pay the price.....Reference: R_D and me.
No Old Pudfark on this one............
