that's just your stupidity talking. That the US press doesn't care doesn't mean that NOBODY cares. Carpet bombing will move vastly more of them from 'caring' to 'hating us'. What a bright approach. I guess you learned foreign policy while serving.........fries and burgers.Pudfark wrote:Which makes the idea of carpet bombing them into extinction, viable.![]()
NOBODY CARES, only the idiots who want to play with them....like a toy.

I think the American people still have the sense to send packing any clown who talks of carpet bombing or using nuclear weaponry in the Middle East. I have great faith in that.

Slick, we are miles apart on this issue, we see it from two different directions. I have a bad feeling about it but the truth be told I hope your right and I am wrong!
Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.

I understand that we SEE it differently. However, I'm unclear on the approach you suggest to deal with your set of assumptions. I mean, the goal would seem to have to be the elimination of a religion adhered to by billions of humans. That isn't happening. And, you seem to imply that barring that, we have to live under a bigger Big Brother than we are already subjected to.Which, in no way addresses a problem affecting the entire rest of the planet. As I say, I'm a bit unclear on your proposal and timeline for success.Darkhorse wrote:Slick, we are miles apart on this issue, we see it from two different directions. oh, and DH, if I am right(no certainty on my part), the point at which we are past this problem is like 20 years away, so a lot of lives will be lost before then unless we make the security effort both global and seamless.

Now, for them what do care? They'd be getting off their asses and taking care of THEIR PROBLEM...so they don't get 'offed' from above.
Simples....motivating with incentive's.....
