I get ever more sure of it, every time I see someone as foolish as Pud engaging in the same slack-jawed political fingerpointing that has been dragging the nation down for decades. Fighting among the Dems? Nothing new. The GOP field seems a bit testy as well. They all ought to be. The nation is waking up to the fact that 99% of the public has been getting ground under by 1% of the population and that government on all sides has been doing the bidding of, and been purchased by, the 1%. Still, so long as conserva-loons keep focusing on George Soros, and talking up goofy shit about 'unfair entitlements' for the poor, the nation will sink. And, China will be there, waiting patiently to take over.
Probably a mere oversight that you didn't comment on the quotes below:

"The "old school" politicians have no motivation to effect a "change"...
History is a book...to learn from...We all need to go back a few chapters...
And start anew from there...otherwise, we are all part of the train wreck."

"Politicians need to be elected on the principals of what they have done, not what they say they will do.
No different, than hiring a new employee for a critical job....education, skills and a demonstrated work history.
Then, Verify that history."

"Speaking of the chinese? How come none of you liberals around here ain't complaining about?
How them chinks is polluting all of us off the planet?"

Slick, your quote at the top...Seems to be the old DNC "magic wand" reply....We both know, you can do better than that.... You and yours are gonna have to break away from those types of responses...or for sure you will lose this next election...

so, after a hundred years as the world's largest pollutor, and with more cars on the road than the rest of the world combined, now we are supposed to have the moral standing to go after China?

also, what does my suspicion that China seems poised, prepared and organized to be the dominant economic player on the planet have to do with either parties political view? Constant bickering over goofy trivia from both sides does little to change that reality.

Hell Yes! Considering their population density? They should be 1,000 times greener than us/U.S. Here ya go for a comparison...My septic system is designed for six adults to use, only two use it and the neighbors really appreciate that...In China, my little system would have to support a couple thousand assholes...and as their neighbor, I don't appreciate it... However, you seem like the tolerant sort, as long as you're upwind....and what makes you sound hypocritical? You say the chinese can shit where they want and as much as they want, while you try to require me to buy an $8,000.00 aerobic system.

also, what does my suspicion that China seems poised, prepared and organized to be the dominant economic player on the planet have to do with either parties political view? Constant bickering over goofy trivia from both sides does little to change that reality. Simple, deregulate to china's standards....

Just like we're supposed to have the moral standing to not own slaves. Our more cars than the world combine pollute less than one of China's provinces. The technology is there to cut down pollution. So yeah, we are supposed to.
