Obama's policies will put more people on welfare than any president before him so this placement is most appropriate.. Unlike the Nobel Peace Prize, for which he did nothing, this is an "honor" he richly deserves.

well, two years in, he hasn't gutted the nation's revenue, or fucked up handling intelligence briefings so that 3000 citizens get killed in attacks about which we were warned. He also hasn't started an ill advised war with a country that posed no threat nor appointed political hacks with no experience to handle disaster relief and other key infrastructure and security positions. Sooooo. I don't know where he ranks yet relative to Carter, but he has Bush so far behind him as to be laughable.

That response is precisely what's wrong with you and your party. You'd rather focus on the past rather than the damage the current administration is doing. And last time I checked 'ol Barry knew what he was getting into when he started his campaign. He oughtta, the Dems ran congress the last two years of the previous administration so IMHO it's their fault.

The consensus here says that Barry sucks by about the same margin as in the rest of the rest of the country. Just as those that think Barry is our saviour, refuse to believe that any viewpoint other than theirs could possibly exist, they insist on blaming everyone but themselves.

It's a good thing the whole country isn't as the same as ol slick and Dai.

most of us are focusing on the fact that he has been prevented from doing as much as he could have.
Some of us are keenly aware that political hacks from both sides have been responsible for that. Anyone with a brain should realize that Obama is actually a breath of fresh air, whose attitude toward government should be emulated across the political spectrum. As someone wrote(a GOP major contributor in the past, btw) on another board I read and post to: "What happened to actual leaders such as Buckley, Bradley,
Moynihan or Fulbright?" Those folks were all easily identified as conservative or liberal, but ALL of them worked with folks of all ideologies to make the US a better nation, ALL of them conducted themselves without rancor towards those they didn't agree with, ALL could listen to others and change their own minds without shame, when logic dictated. We don't see that sort of thing, which one could call statemanship from either Party, or even from most outside the party system. And, for that fact alone, this nation might be doomed.
