Even though our guns laws are the strictest ever in this country's history the current administration wants to ban them. Forget the fact that crimes aren't committed with rifles like this, they're sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.

That's a FACT? Really?
An M1 has NEVER been used in the commission of a crime in the United States of America!
That's amazing.
You got a link with data on that "fact"?

Here's a start. "clunker" grade M-1's sell in excess of $600USD.
For a really nice original gun, about three times that. They hold a maximum of EIGHT rounds. They weigh 9.5lbs empty. It is not an easily concealable piece, nor is it well suited to criminal activity by virtue of it's size and recoil. It doesn't have "cool" factor to the younger audience.
In skilled hands, it can hit a man sized target at a click with pretty good regularity. I emphasize SKILLED.
It's far easier and cheaper to get your hands on a cheap AK knock-off and spray and pray your friends with.

That appears to be a fair rendition of Wullie....Note: the action of the weapon is open, no finger on the trigger, which displays a total respect and high regard for incontinent Canadians.....

This is even better. Only one crime was ever committed with a legally registered machine gun. It was done by an ex cop.
