Slick has no clue about what's really going on. Even if he was here at ground zero he'd have his head in the sand ignoring the threat.

I am beginning to wonder if Slick is a "legal" resident/citizen of this country? Then, I factor in the "tone" of his posts/threads here in the last year?
Old Pudfark sez: " Some folks have intelligence and no experience....I call'em, "cannon fodder" or "Noob".......... "

I'm listed in a Smithsonian exhibit about my family. We've been here since 1668. You?

Not impressed. You're family most likely burned witches and we know they were slave owners..............

very few Colonists that I'm aware of shared both qualities. Then again, if you had the first clue about your own National History, you'd have known that, clown-boy.

My family from that time period neither owned slaves nor burned witches. I win.

LOL at RUGG!!
My maternal grandmother found some link back to Mayflower in our lineage. SO what?
I had kin at the Battle of Kings Mountain, the US War with Mexico, the War of Northern Aggression, WWI, WWII, Korea, I did time in 'Nam, and I think one of the younger cousins was at Grenada, and another in Desert Storm. They were too old or too young for the Spanish American War.
My great uncle enlisted in the Army at 14. He lied about his age. He ended up in France as a mechanic with Rickenbacker's "Hat in the Ring" Squadron.
My namesakes came from Southern Sweden to Texas in the 1840's. They owned all of Travis County (the county where the fantasy land called Austin is located) at one time. They had a black "freeman" who spoke fluent Swedish as well as English in their employ who also took their name. ( makes things interesting in diggin through the records)
My maternal side relative were also slaveholders until they went West to Tennessee.

interesting stuff, Wullie. I love the mental image of the 'freeman' speaking Swedish in Texas. Shows how truly far the populace has come in a relatively short time period.
