Pentagon, NASA experts say mystery plume was plane

The Pentagon and NASA experts concluded Wednesday that an airliner likely caused a billowing contrail off Southern California that resembled a missile plume illuminated by the setting sun.

Complete and total fabrication of bull shit. Any aircraft flying at that altitude and airspeed, commercial or not, would have to have filed a flight plan under IFR rules. Further, if it were a "military" flight, it would be known. The flight path was from West to East, meaning that it was either an International Flight or one probably originating from Hawaii. In any case, or either case, a flight plan would exist. The military and nasa are admitting, falsely, that we are all screwed and they are not doing there job, or they are lying. This incident is a horrendous breach of security or a calculated lie and the media is complicit.

Any other pilots out there? Care to shoot down what I have said?

Old Pudfark sez: " Duh? transponder codes? "

Answer to your first question. BECAUSE THEY CAN!! Been the status quo for the gub'mint since WWII.

As for the sighting?

Small intricately folded paper airplane with note saying FUCK YOU written in Chinese upon it, that just happened to be attached to very large fucking rocket.

I know one way to get out from under the massive debt we have to the chinese. Declare war, economic war. Default on all our debt to them because of their act of war (firing the missile) and then we don't owe squat. The Chinese are deliberately adjusting the value of their money as to cause problems with our economy. It's all inter-related.

and we, in response are printing money. Trust me, if our debt(bonds) are no longer held in very high regard
(which would be the immediate response of a default of any magnitude), hang on to your hat. You'd be looking a 20%-plus inflation and virtually a dead economy in no time flat. One of many reasons to start addressing deficit/debt issues in a more sensible fashion.

As for the sighting, hard to do but guess wtf it was. Really, if anyone knows(and I'm certain some folks out there know), I'll bet a huge amount that it sure as hell isn't any of us.

I've seen remnants of contrails from aircraft that look similar to that, but they are extremely uncommon (been flying professionally for over 20 yrs). Although I wouldn't put it past the gubment to hide information... My old grandad worked for the government for many years (a good bit with 'the agency') and told me many years ago: "if people heard what the government was actually doing on the evening news, in the morning there'd be a revolution"
