That DC-6/C-118 is fucking beautiful!! I saw a documentary about the acquisition and rebuild of that thing.

Rode in one C-118 in the USN.

I rode in several C-54's (DC-4) while in the Navy.They were unpressurized. One of them had a plaque over the doorway into the cockpit. It said the plane had served in the Berlin airlift.

Classy old machines and theirs is at the top of the pile.
