Obama Pushes Tax Hikes in Budget Talks, Calls Aug. 2 'Hard Deadline' on Debt Ceiling

President Obama called on Republicans Wednesday to drop their opposition to tax increases, saying "everybody else" is sacrificing their "sacred cows" for deficit reduction, GOP lawmakers should be willing to do the same.

so, your rationale for continuing to give folks making over $250,000 a year and/or sizeable dividend incomes the lowest tax rates in modern history, all the while asking every middle class and poor person to give away health, unemployment, social security and other benefits would be?

Funny, you should mix apples and oranges and then throw in poor folks and middle class....
Because?
In your opinion?
Folks who make less than $250,000.00 a year deserve a free ride, free food, free movies, free health care, free retirement and
free unemployment....?
What kind of culture does this "breed" and where and when, historically has this been successful?
Wait a minute? I can think of one application....a cattle ranch.
Yup, and you expect folks to sell their souls to the government for this?
Well some have.
Others won't.

What most amuses me?
Obama and party have run out of "public money" to buy votes in 2012.
Nobody believes Obama anymore...
Everybody believes he and party "raided the pantry"....and raising taxes to hide the theft.
The proof of that?
Look at the size of his wife's ass?
Since he took office.....

A Classic Example:

Amazon to Calif.: Read My Lips, No Online Sales Tax

Enjoy surfing the web cheaply and easily for that must-have item while you can: The taxman cometh.
California plans to force online retailers to collect sales taxes, a new rule that drew shouts of outrage from Web-shopping giants like Amazon.com and O.co, also known as Overstock.com.

The bill requires these and other online retailers to collect taxes if they have in-state affiliates. Both companies operate nationwide sales programs that rely on in-state companies to drive their own online business -- boosting online retail profits and leaving local coffers empty, the state argued. The law is intended to bridge that perceived tax gap.

But Amazon was quick to turn the tables. Calling the new law unconstitutional, Amazon sent an email Wednesday to California affiliates immediately severing ties with them -- and putting those businesses in the crosshairs.

Jonathan E. Johnson III, president of O.co (also known as Overstock.com), told FoxNews.com it made a similar move yesterday, terminating its relationship with hundreds of businesses.

"It's a buzz kill for jobs,"

Every where I look?
I see more examples of things like this....
Federal, State and Local Governments....

Perhaps?
Slick can explain to me?
How this helps....the little guys?
New Jobs?
New Business?
Future Prosperity for all?

Oh, wait...?
Damn, we're talking about "giving" folks things...that they have not earned?
We're talking about?
Everybody is entitled....except the "productive" and the "rich"....?

Three points with anyone with a brain to ponder:

1. The US has the lowest overall revenue collection by percent GDP of all the developed
world, with the exception of Japan. And Japan has been in a pretty long slow spell, economically.

2. The US had the highest level of job creatiion between 1950 and 1970, when the average
top individual tax bracket AVERAGED 73%. Also, in the first 10 years, we had sizeable deficit
spending for core infrastructure and basic R and D support

3. The lowest decade for job growth was 2000-2010, roughly coinciding with GWB's tax giveaway.

Face facts, Pud, we currently have the lowest rate of taxation in 60 plus years, and we desperately
need to get the books back to balance. The least we can do is close a bunch of loopholes and restore
the Clinton tax brackets and 20% cap gains. Otherwise, serious times await, especially if those loons
in DC don't raise the debt ceiling.

and ironically one of the highest Corporate taxes rates over the same period. see the correlation?
which points to Pud's point about Amazon and O.com high corp taxes = less jobs

Slick,

Perhaps when Obama makes a budget and sticks to it....ya know,
one that has no deficit spending....oh wait, he's had 800 days to
do that.....

Right now, it sure seems he's just looking for more money to spend on...
his pet projects and not the American People as a whole....

If you're sincere about raising taxes?
Flat tax everybody...totally eliminate deficit spending.
Anything else?
Is discrimination.....
