won't see this in our papers.
The Chinese government on Saturday called on the United States to cancel a planned meeting between President Barack Obama and the Tibetan religious leader the Dalai Lama, warning that it would “damage” relations between both countries.

Seems Obama is so desperate?
He needs some "divine" help....
Old Pudfark sez: " Now run along home Barry...and be a good boy... "

Didn't know you guys read newspapers.
Whats the big deal, China doesn't want the USA to be seen in cahoots with a spiritual leader of a contended ( by China ) county or area. It's standard diplomacy to request that other governments don't meet with people or bodies that are in oppostion or conflict with yourself, all countries do it, all the time.
Does the USA or any other western country as it happens, need some more rebels or such to drain our forces in support off, along with the current stuff we are commited to anyway?
The big issue ove the next few decades will be can the West and China get on, or just cut the crap and get the big war over with? All the other stuff is mere foreplay and weapons testing.

Whats the big deal? seriously?
And you dont see the "big issue" starting with minor things? You dont think china via north korea tests the waters internationally, or tibet?
You dont think quite a few see china telling the US seeing the Dali is being provocative? How in the hell is a visiting religious dignitary being provocative?
soap if this comment was a taunt, then well played, but if you dont see this as ever increasing saber rattling between two giants, then why didn't china scold clinton, or bush for seeing the Dali? Conflict has been going on longer than that. During Bush's term Hollywood had all kinds of shows of support.
Now, last time the Dali left via the service entrance by the trash. THAT made headlines all over china and shortly after we got a HUGE loan
I'm stunned and grateful Obama didn't treat him so poorly this time. I'm guessing its election time again for our failing potus?
from the lib NYPost no less- what a difference a few months makes, eh?

Interesting Dawg....
My take?
Obama is perceived "as so weak"?
The "chinks" had a reasonable expectation?
That he would bend over....
I'm happy he didn't.
