No I can't. I've seen that on tv that's all. If I was to venture a guess I'd say they think the minimum legal term is not enough so they have to find something to get him jailed for life.

I believe you cultured folks are pretty much against the death penalty?
Though, if they had it? In this case? I believe they would use it...
Sometimes? A lifetime of "butt darts" is the preferred choice...double in and double out...

I admire Norway for the way they handled this and I doubt they would consider changing the law because of one crazy.
I don't know if you guys saw the footage of the memorial yesterday in Oslo, it was very moving indeed, when thousands of people including their Royals and PM all gathered to mourn the victims.
I think it shows a singular strength when people can do that and not allow a tragic incident to dictate policy and curtail the freedoms they have.

I am, for several reasons. One is that having a death penalty brings society down to the same level as the killer, secondly it has been proven in several cases to have been applied to innocent people, thirdly it wouldn't stop a lunatic from killing people anyway as crazies don't care about consequences, and lastly it only solves one particular problem ( ie the end of that particular killer ).
Of course, being a human being like the rest of us, I wouldn't be unhappy if mass killers, child rapists etc died horribly. But I wouldn't feel too great about being part of a society that condoned killing people in a scientific manner either.

No argument from me....as to how you choose to live or let live...
It seems, death/life of butt darts?
Is more humane...and perhaps called for in this case...
However, forewarning.....When he gets out at age 53?
He may have a serious "case of the ass".....and an ax to grind....

Nah man its justice kill you get killed im happy with that, why society has become obsessed with rehabilitation rather than punishment i dont know and it makes me sad
