Recall or Redial?

Post by Pudfark »

Here is a complete waste of money...and for a change, it wasn't mine (as a taxpayer)...

Wisconsin GOP Holds Off Democrats in Recall Elections

Republicans held onto control of the Wisconsin Senate on Tuesday, beating back four Democratic challengers in a recall election despite an intense political backlash against GOP support for Gov. Scott Walker's effort to curb public employees' union rights.

Fueled by millions of dollars from national labor groups, the attempt to remove GOP incumbents served as both a referendum on Walker's conservative revolution and could provide a new gauge of the public mood less than a year after Republicans made sweeping gains in this state and many others.

Wisconsin Recall Elections Don't Change Trajectory, But Larger Effort Persists

As the 2012 election season heats up, Democrats have vowed to put Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on the ballot for recall even though efforts to oust six Republicans in the state Legislature didn't go as well as the massive spending effort would have presumed.

With $31 million spent on the recall effort, four Republicans -- Sens. Alberta Darling, Sheila Harsdorf, Rob Cowles and Luther Olsen all held onto their seats. Two Republicans -- Sen. Dan Kapanke and Randy Hopper -- were defeated, respectively, by Democrats Jennifer Shilling and Jessica King.

Two Democratic incumbents -- Sens. Bob Wirch of Pleasant Prairie and Jim Holperin of Conover -- face recalls next week, but even if they win, the party will still be in the minority. One Democrat, Sen. Dave Hansen, won his recall election last month.

That doesn't mean unions and other organized groups won't try to take down newly elected lawmakers and executives like Walker, who entered office just nine months ago.

Now I'm interested to see what happens with the 2 Wisconsin D Senators that are up for recall in the coming weeks

I pray to the baby Jesus every night (he's my favorite version of the Jesus) that we can get this whole civil war thing on the road. It's been years since I had a confirmed kill, hoping my next one to be a democrat on welfare who is working under the table for cash. Or Slick.

If your boys continue doing the s**t they're doing, there will be one Slick. You only gotta hang a couple of 'em at the capitol for treason and the rest will either 1) fall in line and obey the constitution 2) run away. I'd prefer if they all did the latter.

while you're contemplating treason, why don't you cast any eye toward the Tea Party caucus. They cost the US a AAA credit rating with one agency and helped destablize an already shaky market. Then again, your focus is purely ideological, right?
