It sure is nice and cozy in the AAA credit rating here, i guess China is good for something after all :P

what astounds me is that anyone gives a crap about Standard and Poors' credit ratings anyway. I mean, these buffoons gave a ton of AAA ratings to utterly worthless mortage-backed paper.

Well it also helps that our debt is like 8% off gdp france is 80 odd % you guys the poms and the japs im sure its higher still

actually, that is but a small factor in 'ability to repay', which is what the rating should be dealing with. Are you really uncertain that we, or any of the others, are not likely to repay? I'm not.
