"the U.S. Embassy, following Obama and Clinton, says it's all out fault:

U.S. Embassy Condemns Religious Incitement September 11, 2012
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others"

Oh, and thanks Obama, for randomly whacking on that Middle Eastern hornet's nest, stirring up this shit. And the admin continues to intentionally do nothing about the Iranian nuclear weapons program... that won't end well either, and they intend it as such.

Hahaha...

Is anyone surprised when the US and their minions (the french government included) destroy every secular government in the middle east (Libya, Tunisia, Egypt) and want to attack the last one standing (Syria) to replace them by religious fanatics?

I remind you that Tarek Aziz, the last minister of the Iraqi government was a christian
I remind you that the government of Syria had ministers from the allaouite, sunnis and christian origin. Syria is also the home of the oldest christian communities EVER.
I remind you that the attacks against coptes (Egyptian christians) after the "arab spring" have greatly increased.

All of those old regimes where communities live together are replaced by complete lunatics yelling allah akbar (the new NATO warcry it seems) and slaughtering the christian & other minorities.

I also remind you that about 20 000 jews live freely in Iran, and that Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons, while Israel does in contravention to every non proliferation treaty you want to refer to.

As a matter of fact, Isreal threatens day in & day out to attack Iran, yet Iran is the rogue state. Go figure.

Make my day: google anything you disagree with.

Fact is, some people from an unnameable religiou are trying to create a war in the middle east, so that Israel can grow in size like it grew in 1967 & 1973, after each time claiming it was only being attacked and defending itself.

Right now folks, we are merely observing how some people through the US & France & other western nations are doing everything they could lead to that war. Contrary to all the people of those countries' best interests, Israelis included, as they will suffer first hand.

Nic, I can accept a lot of what you chose to wrote. However, there are some exceptions. I could make a case for nuclear proliferation on any other country that
developed nuclear weapons, after the U.S. did. I'm glad the Israelis have nukes.
When Iran gets their nukes on line? Balance in that region will not be restored. Equal footing? It's guaranteed not to stay that way for long. Why? Because,
the Iranian Religious Fanatics...say so. Israel does not want a war. Nobody can
"live", looking at the barrel of a "shotgun" pointed at them. All the time. Israel has
a proven past of dealing with "stupid neighbors" and none of it has been nuclear.

Seems like, that could change....sooner, than later.

How many nukes...y'all got? How's about the French history of acquisition/colonies?
just sayin'

Back on track....This kind of shit.

Poverty Rate Holds Steady at Record Levels (and That's Good News)

"The ranks of America's poor remained stuck at record levels, although dwindling unemployment benefits and modest job gains helped stave off what experts had predicted would be the fourth rise in a row in the poverty rate."

Israel has limited options when dealing with a real Iranian nuclear threat. Their last-generation airpower is probably not capable of penetrating Iran's modern air defense network AND destroying enough of a well developed, well hidden nuclear program. B2s, F22s, and F35s could handle it, but apparently we aren't going to help out. Other options include a widespread clandestine op on the ground - too many facilities for that. Tactical nukes like the old Pershing IIa would be extremely effective, assuming first strike... not sure if Israel has anything remotely like that.

Really, Israel has had the capability to wipe it's neighbors off the map for decades, but hasn't done so because they are not an aggressor nation. Iran has been conducting assymetric warfare against them for years, funds every viable radical islamist kill-the-west-hatin' terrorist group they can, and even declared war on the US in 1986.... for those that remember. They've done everything they can get away with... who's going to punish Iran for using nukes??? They could airburst a nuke over Israel for EMP, leaving it extremely vulnerable to conventional attack, overrun it and 'sack' it like Rome.

The bottom line is, and you imply this Nic, that Israel is surrounded and for the most part on it's own.

The israeli religious fanatics running Iran actually let the 20 000 iranian jews live peacefully. Hard to shake off the propaganda we've been fed for tenths of years... but still...

The Israeli state I don't know, the israeli people certainly not, some zionists looking to make a great Israel certainly. BHL, a french self proclaimed philosoph who is always writing books to push us to war (kosovo, Iraq, Liif bya, and now Syria) even said on a tv intervew a long time ago that he'd like to see a world goverment with its capital city in Jerusalem. The guy had been invited by Sarkozy at the Elysée to discuss Libya, and has been Meeting Hollande to discuss Syria. The useful idiot.

It's hard to do but don't mix up Israel and the Zionist elites who try to make the shit hit the fan from their NY homes.

Anyway you can just watch these days how WE are installing islamist nations all around israel. What's the point? What for? Tell me?
Seems like, that could change....sooner, than later.
The nuke debate is a false debate.

IMO, the sheer volume of propaganda that espouses some kind of continuing Zionist expansion is staggering, and utterly false. It's perpetrated all over the middle east, through the UN, and it seems in European countries that have openly allowed unassimilated or unassimmable (sic? lol) migrants from the middle east.

You never see quotes from expansionist minded Zionist types in the US because they don't exist. There are plenty here who support Israel and lobby for continued financial support; that is entirely different. Explain that to a middle eastern man who's been buried in state sponsored propaganda his entire life.... I've talked to some natives of middle eastern origins, and their perspective of the West is almost totally informed by what I'd describe as pure propaganda. Really, talking to someone who's never left Lebanon, or a former member of the PLO... it's eye-opening.
