....or, at least a couple which I saw while on vacation for a week or so.
First off, I spent a couple days at the Keeneland horse auctions. Business was very brisk in horses selling for more than $100,000.
It seems some folks have plenty of income on hand to dispose of. Hmmmm. Wealth divide, anyone?
Secondly, and far more interestingly, were the political yard signs around my house in Virginia. Now, Virginia went, narrowly, for Obama in 2008, and my county pretty much reflected that trend. What I noted this year, in places where signage was put up for the GOP, were the presence of LARGE signs for Allen and Rigell, the candidates for Senate and House, with virtually NO signs up for Romney, and the few I saw were tiny. Seemingly, the Virginia GOP powers are not wasting much time advertising on Romney's behalf. If this is, in fact, the case, Romney is a goner. Might explain why he sounded, on Meet the Press,as though he was almost conceding the race in early September.
