"Fiscal Cliff" The GOP needs to vote now.

Post by Pudfark »

The GOP must vote.."Present", not "Against" and not "For".

Why?

Even, Slick can't argue this...
His very "OWN" Obama, did the same thing, many times in the past.

Ya gotta admit, Slick...your agenda will pass....this way. ;)
Merry Christmas and a HappyHappy New Year :D

nothing to vote on.

if the Democrats don't offer cuts they they don't get Taxes.

lets see how bad Obama wants to have the economy tank under his watch. he might try to blame the Republicans and might even be successful short term. but the reality is, he just shows that he calling himself the "great uniter" is joke. that he never had any intention to try and unite. that he is a hardcore Liberal true to his voting record. and that all those that believed other wise were duped

the Democrats Lied to Reagan in the 80's when they told him they would cut spending. they Lied to HW when they told him they would cut spending. and they are lying now. you do not negotiate with people that have a track record of being liars.
Force their hand.

No Cuts. No Taxes. lets see how they like it when the mandatory entitlement cuts come their way on Jan 1, the economy enters another recession, our credit rating goes down and people start loosing their benefits because of their failure to ATTEMPT to reach a compromise. they will blame the GOP win lose or draw. I say stand and fight. this is about principle. stand firm. do not waiver

if you give them more taxes they will just spend more. that's what Liberals do., they are fiscally irresponsible, they live on Credit and they spend other peoples money to buy votes and keep themselves in power.

I'm talking about this in another forum.

simple math of Congress:

it takes about 30 GOP members to join the Democratic caucus to pass the Dem bill, if it actually hits the floor. Watch it happen. There are likely more Republicans than that who can read the election tea-leaves, and don't want to be left going into 2013 getting blamed for taxes going up. Sorry fellas, but this game ain't going to last long.

simple math
well your math sucks.

when i went to school 16,000,000,000,000.00 is a larger number than 30

what you're saying is that you don't care about UN-checked spending. your saying that it's ok with you to spend any amount of money you want and not be accountable to anyone. your saying that as long as the Democrats can achieve their goal of staying in power then piss off next generation that's your problem. your saying it's OK to spend this nation into bankruptcy. not my problem. your saying that your all in on being Greece x10 your saying FU future. is that what you're saying???

How did I know Cuda would blame the Dems for this. How about the Repubs vote for taxes?

Oh wait! That takes money out of their own pockets.

Then you admit you do have a comprehension problem.
that explains a lot
How about the Repubs vote for taxes?
the GOP has already said they'd raise taxes. apparently you missed that.

How about the Dems offer spending cuts. they haven't. in fact the only thing they offered was More taxes A LOT more taxes and another stimulus and more spending. but apparently you missed that too.
I guess they don't have television or news papers out there with the bears. or maybe it just comes back to the whole reading comprehension problem that you suffer from.

no one has a plan to spend the US into bankruptcy, CUDA. However, what Europe is learning is that making too severe cutbacks when the economy is coming out of a recession cycle is the ticket to send the nation back into another recession. Now, Obama did offer some cutbacks, along with some targetted stimulus(at an infrastructure partnership with the private sector that was previously supported by the GOP), along with the targeted tax rise that he WON AN ELECTION running on. None of this bill even starts to address the automatic spending cuts mandated by the Congress' lack of decisions on deficit reduction legislation, so there is no need to put MORE spending cuts into this current bill, whatsoever.
I want, CUDA, the same end results which you want, I think. I want a country whose economy and safety are stable over the long haul, for my grandchildren and beyond. That we see the 'how to get there' part differently, and can express it, is merely a testament to the society we live in.

Obama did offer some cutbacks,
name one please.
None of this bill even
what bill???
starts to address the automatic spending cuts mandated by the Congress' lack of decisions on deficit reduction legislation,
those automatic spending cuts ONLY go into effect IF congress can't get their act together. and it was designed to hurt BOTH parties pet projects. Defense for the GOP, Entitlements for the Dems
so there is no need to put MORE spending cuts into this current bill, whatsoever.
there are no spending cuts, and no bill, who's feeding you that line???

please name me once, just once, that the Democrats have ever offered entitlement spending reductions ONCE EVER

Because I can offer several times that the GOP has offered and given tax increases.
