I hate the term, actually, as it generally is used to prop up bogus nationalism. On the other hand, NO ONE here cares more about the long term health of the United States, and NO ONE here has the roots in the nation I do. Further, few, if any of you, and especially you, Pud, do more to make the place better.

Your "false concern" about health is the result of your "country club" education. You may have the "roots"? Being born into them? Is a dab different, than "earning" them.

As opposed to your "selfless" contributions?

I dare say that many of them, and in fact most of the originals(Civil War)never viewed themselves as 'patriotic' nor did they care to be regarded as such. Most of the folks I've encountered who bandied that term around had self-interest foremost in their minds.
