well, 'some' facts. As commenters pointed out, a lot of apples vs. oranges going on in that clip.

Define "violent crime".
Is the definition of the term the same in the UK as it is in the USA?
Has the definition of "violent crime" changed in the USA in those 20 years?
What about the rise in mass shootings?

The dude made a couple of good points, but simply boiling it all down to a spread sheet is too simplistic and removes the human element.

True that. Just not bullets going into that clip.

Good find Buzz. A reasonable guy with no agenda presenting...just the facts. :)
Slick's response...was predictable. Non-factual as usual, but fruity.

He points out the scare that murders are going up to the public is false. He points out most of the murders are in big cities, and we know that means gangs.

Mass murders by the mental cases is something different. I don't know what the answer for that is.

What yer ignoring is the "murders" number. Sorta hard to fudge that, ya think?
Here's a partial definition of "violent crime", let me know if it fits, R_D?

When Bubba grabs ya by the shoulder blades, rips yer drawers off, starts drillin' where the corn comes out? In the U.S., we call that a violent crime. What do you call it?

The "human element" gathered and compiled the information so that simplistic people, such as yerself might have a ghost of a chance to understand it. Seeing as how that ain't working for ya? Give Bubba my regards and tell him...I'm retired, you're gonna deal with him. ;)
