I guess it has good power for an air gun, but compared to a muzzleloader it's pretty weak.

air gun....500fpe

muzzleloader...2200fpe

It uses a pretty heavy bullet (430gr) to get that 500fpe. That tells me is has no range. Probably 50yds at most

I'm getting the 2200fpe with a 300gr bullet, and still have 1300fpe at 250yds.

Not that I need that range. All my hunting is in timber with 75 yds being a long shot. I still have 2000fpe at 75yds. That air gun is probably down to 300fpe. I like at least 1200fpe for an elk kill. I like fast humane kills without the animal running off somewhere to suffer.

Some guys like to see how light of a gun they can use to kill an elk. I call them assholes to their face when I run into them. The same kind of guy will use real like lines/tippets to catch big fish. All they do is kill the fish. Just like the hunters will wound the elk.

One of my pet peeves.
