what is amazing is that Obama is making visible cuts with no severe economic impact. In other words, no threats yet of the kind Buzz suggested earlier. No massive layoffs, etc either. He is making cuts, though, that are able to be seen and felt by enough people as to get the point across BEFORE time goes on and more drastic stuff kicks in.

Exactly, Buzz. Obama is merely trying to put out specific, minor, yet visible examples in the hope that everyone gets it. Or, at least enough people get it to make the lives of the Senators and Congressmen painful.

By the way...what kinda deal is going to made in a few weeks to
increase the debt? Based upon Obama's conduct in his sequestration
deal? Who would trust him to keep his word?
