This one is all over my local news today(just over the river in Jersey). A few facts worth noting, before you go off onto the Fox hype:

1. this was a Children and Youth investigation. These can, and are, triggered by ANY complaint that involves an adult and a minor child. The source of the complaint can be anyone, frequently a child. I've been through it, although my 'interrogation' lasted less than 15 minutes, and didn't involve any searches.

2. It is VERY unclear as to the text content of the FB page, but suspicions in the local press suggest certain inflammatory and potentially inappropriate verbiage accompanied the picture.

3. As this should have, on the surface, been resolved by a mere inspection of the kid's hunting license and training certificate, there is considerable suspicion of some sort of beef between the dad and the local authorities, which is still being looked into by the local press.

THIS IS NOT, I REPEAT, NOT AN EXAMPLE OF GOVERNMENT 'COMING FOR YOUR GUNS'

What verbiage would that be on FB?

The "Nazi's" used that same tactic before/during WWII.

The Dad, didn't have to show them shit. He was in my
opinion, damned polite. I'd a told them to go feck themselves.
And, I would have been ready to help'm do it.

This "anonymous" snitch program, the Nazi's perfected and
you "libs" are trying to resurrect.

Don't take the above as my being "harsh" towards your person.
I acknowledge that you did comment, with civility.

Everybody, to include the cops and complainants, should be held
accountable. It just really pisses me, that a meaningless threat was
used to co-opt the fourth amendment rights.

Folks who are in Law Enforcement, should know this. It's obvious,
they ignored the law. There is no excuse for that. Every damn one
of them should be fired.

I don't know how Child Welfare agencies work in your state, Pud, but this was sort of routine, right up to the inspection and demand for registration.

When a person "voluntarily" gives up their "rights", they get trampled on.
When a whole bunch of them do it?
Everybody loses the "right", as it becomes the norm.

The "rights" we have, we were entrusted/given by others who earned/sacrificed for them.

We don't have the "right" to throw that away without doing some earning and sacrificing of our own.

Many folks believe that above. How many?
Is it really worth finding out...cuz, if'n ya push it on the count?
You may/probably find out what "sacrifice" is/means.
Which may be part of the reason old Hairy Reed....dropped yer balls, recently.

Pudster, you are arguing with a Joseph Goebbles wannabe.

The enclosed photograph is what I think of every time I see this forum polluted with Callmesick's sewage.

Image

Callmesick cares not for rights, only rights and POWER for himself.

Fuck him.

HH may have been a little coarse in his description...
Ya oughta read what ya write Slick....
Cuz, it does have a fit.

You promote no individual responsibility, complete dependence on the government, in return for surrendering your rights. Yeah, it fits.

no, I don't, Pud, at all.....what I am saying is merely reportage on the REALITY of child welfare investigations in the US in 2013. I advocated for nothing.

Well, not to rub it in.
I've done more than a few child welfare investigations.
That "reportage" was done by whom and how many investigations
have they done?

You have this unique manner of presenting opinions as facts.
Especially, of presenting some unknown persons opinion as a fact.
I'm not trying to be ugly to ya.

I spent my whole life on facts. Not opinions.
What have I learned from that?
Opinions require nothing. Facts require evidence.
Opinions based upon other opinions are worthless.
Opinions based upon facts/evidence have some merit.
Folks who don't recognize the difference?
Are "entitled" to be stupid.

I'm not saying yer stupid. I'm just saying you sound disingenuous at times.
