"To err is human; to forgive is not SAC policy."

Something to read about.

We used to call Offutt AFB, Nebraske "SAC Disney Land"....
I hated working under SAC, they were intollerant. They ate their dead...

Curtiss Lemay's portrait haunted the USAF everywhere one went through the 1970's.
I bet it still does

It must "chafe" a certain person's hiney here...knowing, all the nuclear air to air and air to ground missiles that were "stored" in his "Canadian" country and routinely flown across it....

Big difference between hurling insults vs nukes.
Sorta reminds me that N. Korea has more on the "ball".

Silly Air Circus...
Sorry Air Circus...
Oh the memories of those days in SAC......
Sleeping in the alert truck, screaming alert sirens,
no lone zones..... Strange world indeed.
Nothing like watching a dozen or more B-52 turbo jet bombers
scrambeling to take off ASAP, the smoke and noise from a hundred
or more J-57s at full power using water injection was defening.

As i remember there was over 1,000 gallons of distilled water (de-mineralised water)
used in a typical B-52 takeoff.
