OBAMACARE TO RAISE CALIFORNIANS' INDIVIDUAL PREMIUMS 64% TO 146%

Triumphalist progressive claims that early California figures prove Obamacare will reduce health insurance costs are coming to a screeching halt as closer analyses reveal Californians will actually experience a staggering 64% to 146% increase in individual health insurance premiums come January 2014.

Recently, progressives like Washington Post columnist Ezra Klein and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman have been touting news out of California’s Obamacare—called Covered California—that early numbers were looking good. “It looks as if Obamacare’s first year in California is going to be an overwhelmingly positive experience,” cheered Krugman giddily. “The real Obamacare shock will be one of unexpected success” wherein “millions of Americans will suddenly gain health coverage” and “only a relative handful of people will be hurt at all,” wrote Krugman.

The good news?
The IRS will be collecting the funds from a lot of folks...seniors, especially.
Seems like "good" Americans will pony up and get less, while "poor" unemployed Americans will get what they have always got...

The rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer and the "middle class" will take it up the ass.
Which puts the "OH" in ObamaCare. I see it as a "personal choice"...Uh-OH, OH-NO or OH-Baby-Oh...

:x

explain how the middle class takes 'it up the ass' when individual incomes to 65K and families to 100K get some sort of tax rebate, and the overall plan costs(Brietbarts BS notwithstanding) have rates for older Californians rising less than they have before Obamacare(by older, I mean 40-65)

Ok, I will.

Simples.

Wealthy folks? The incremental costs are negligible.
Poor folks? They don't/can't pay it anyway.
Middle Class? They will pay or they will become without or join the poor.

That may be too difficult for you to understand?
So, I'll "toss" it to ya this way....Half a months pay to the rich dude, ain't that much.
No pay to a poor dude, ain't that much. Three to four months pay to the middle class, ain't doable.

I just wonder, why?, at your age and quotable life experiences, you can't understand something as simple as that? It's no wonder your opinions come from "left field", the "field of dreams". ;)

and thanks for clarifying my reluctance to utilize this site to debate politics. I asked a specific question, including specific examples of incomes for rebates.
You responded with a drool-worthy diatribe that said, essentially, nothing of substance. yeesh!

You tell me how equitably the AffordableCareAct is to be implemented across the economic groups. :)
Standing by. Waiting for your "substance". :)

speak for yourself....I'd love to pay less and have my fellow citizens worry FAR less, not to mention see US businesses be able to COUNT on what the costs of medical coverage are.

Don't expect the same product then, cause you're not going to get it.
