It's like this....

It is like this:

It is like the so-called elites are no longer even pretending to be part of a democratic republic anymore.
And let me say this:

The primary problem with the so-called elites is not that they are not humble.
The primary problem with the so-called elites is not that they are not patriotic.
The primary problem with the so-called elites is not that they are not godly. They're not, but that's not the primary problem.

The primary problem with the so-called elites is that they are not elite, and they are neither wise, nor intelligent, nor educated, nor enlightened, nor superior in any fashion save two, accident of circumstance and elevated self-regard.

They do not know what the hell they are saying, or doing, or saying, and I said saying twice because they largely do not "do."

They almost universally come from background professions in which there is no clear and direct relationship between error and consequence -- in the "doing" fields, there's always such a connection, and people understand quite tangibly the cost of a mistake.

But this lot comes entirely from fields in which there really is no standard of performance because it's all rather theoretical and vague and Good Excuses always trump Bad Results.
And that's no coincidence: They have chosen such fields because they do not wish to be ruled by the Tyranny of Records and Results.

If'n ya wanted? Just substitute "Slick" for "elites", as they are one in the same. Just ask Slick? ;)

since you took the time to make the above ridiculous critique of me, I hate to simply laugh it off as stupid claptrap without SOME elaboration:
First, you have no clue how godly, patriotic or whatever I am. Second, if you think that medical diagnostics(my profession for 30 years) was a field with no consequence for error, please feel free to relay that to your doctor and pass on any laboratory testing next time you get sick. Wow, Pud, clueless and obsessed really doesn't make you look too good. Find a mirror to find the root problem in the US today.

Except pudfark isn't talking about the elite, but about the puppets that the real elite want us to believe is our elites. Those that may well be hanged at some point because we're dumb enough not to see who is pulling the strings.

I'm not saying those shouldn't be hanged though. For treason if anything.

I was just pointing out the "glaring similarities". ;)
Why did I do that? Well, go back a read yer posts, over the last four years, here.
Now, about yer profession, "with no consequence for error, please feel free to relay that to your doctor"?
Why would I take it up with my doctor? When it's your error and consequence? Do you always foist yer responsibilities on another? Apparently, you do. You need some mirror time...no shit. ;)

Right on. And there are "Progressives" here that will never understand they are dupes... there are a few levels of 'duplicity', lol.

For a better, longer "laugh"?
Go back and read your posts here...over the last four years.
Should you experience dizziness, cramping or disorientation.....seek help.

Now, don't get the big head....this thread isn't particularly about you, it's about them like you.
You've always represented yourself, here, as a cut above everyone else...that makes you in your own
definition, "elite". A definition, that you've gone out of your way, repeatedly, to remind all of the folks here. Your selective memory suggests? You're the "clueless" one here.

:)

actually, no better reminders need be seen by anyone with a brain than my words, contrasted with yours. Elite? Nahhh. But, far too often, Pud, you and others operate out of a combination of cluelessness and envy that tries to envision an elite which in reality merely consists of people better educated, more aware of the greater community and tolerant than you.

Proof to my theory. I chose to step back from this subforum for a little while and observe. What happened, and still continues in theads like this? A constant obsession with me, with 'people like Slick' and daily references in thread after thread in which I don't participate in most cases. Simply childish obsession? Likely so, but an outside reader could be forgiven confusing that obsession with the close following the masses show for the 'elite' Thanks, but really, fellas, you would do better to focus on real issues, and offer real solutions for debate, as opposed to chirping like little birds about me and 'folks like Slick', IMHO.

 My point exactly.

"Obsession and envy"...your words Slick.
"It's like this"...are mine.
To explain it a little better?
I'll just say it in "country terms"...."When the motor's broke, look at the dipstick" ;)

Your answer is really pathetic and self serving. Humorous in an odd way.
