alternate realities
....one of the issues facing any adult in the US who tries to discuss current events, politics or the like is the proliferation of absolute bullshit 'news' sources.
I called Pud on one earlier today, and basically bitch-slapped the lie he has been repeating since November regarding California and Obamacare. But, I don't really blame Pud. He is a victim. These sites feed people what they wish to believe, based on pre-conceptions and run with it. There are such sites on both sides(examples? Brietbart is a prize on the right, but DailyKos is little better on the left), and have left us with the odd reality that folks try to debate without a firm agreement on the FACTS. Opinions can vary, but the facts should be absolute. The cure? Easy, check your sources. If something seems too obvious, too absolute, devoid of any qualification or nuance, CHECK IT. Google is your friend. I debunked Pud in under 30 seconds of searching. I knew I could, as I have enough California whackjob fishing buddies to know that the numbers Pud cited were false. The facts are there, plain to see, from about 10 or more credible sources. What is interesting about the search was that the factual sites came up sprinkled among about the same number of far-right nutjob sites....all of whom essentially carried the EXACT same bogus claim, with the EXACT same language. That phenomenon might tip a person off as well, although I suspect few diehard partisans follow up to see that.

It's easy. Someone, or some group buys up a shit load of domain names and they put the exact same stuff on all of them hoping to reach the most number of zombies.callmeslick wrote:....all of whom essentially carried the EXACT same bogus claim, with the EXACT same language.
The first clue are the domain names. Some are so silly you just know that they were running out of ideas.

"both of those articles were/are complete bullshit. Nothing of the sort is happening. Just because you read something on one of those ridiculous right-wing no-brainer websites, doesn't make it fact. I repeat, ask people from California. I have(several flyfishing buddies out on the left coast), and to a person they say such assertions are utterly foolish."
Then ya finally...threw a link out there that says this "That article was wrong," says Molly Weedn, spokeswoman for the CMA. "We have no idea how many doctors are participating. We don't collect that data."
And you have the naivete to call this proof....
It's pretty apparent ya don't read what you link....and it's been very obvious, you don't, for the last several years...sheeesh !

Re: alternate realities
yes, Pud, that is an ironclad rebuttal of the lies you purport to be 'facts'. The facts are that NO ONE calculates Doctor participation and that the Washington Examiner presented completely made-up numbers as fact. That speaks(volumes) to what I wrote above.

Re: alternate realities
Wow....the "I don't know the numbers, so you don't know them...." defense......

Really....ya really think they don't know? Like I sad before..you're naive.
They know them...they're just so bad, they won't "officially" release them.
This has been the "standard" tactic in every "liberal" enterprise.
From Solyndra, Keystone, Fast n Furious, Benghazi, IRS to those "enrolled" in ObamaCare....we don't know the truth/numbers, so you don't know them....
Sure buddy....that's all ya got?
It's a nothing.

Re: alternate realities
if you hadn't been asleep during your school tenure, you would grasp that the FACT that no numbers are compiled is a complete rebuttal of a claim of 'knowing' the numbers.Pudfark wrote:Wow....the "I don't know the numbers, so you don't know them...." defense......![]()
we know the truth of the numbers for the Green Energy projects(overall, jobs were created), we KNOW Fast and Furious was a Bush administration plan, we now KNOW that the IRS targetted groups of all political pursuasions(thanks to murky tax regs). We will know the real numbers on Obamacare as soon as it has a period of time to be in action....as I've stated before. You, on the other hand, seem very quick to jump on the hysterical bandwagon of Obama Haters Inc, and the mind games they play on you.Really....ya really think they don't know? I'm a "truth seeker".
You're a "story teller".
Seems ya got a problem knowing/comprehending the difference between "fecal material" and "factual material"....otherwise, ya wouldn't have thrown in the "we KNOW" thingy as yer only supporting reference.....

						You're a "story teller".
The story you "choose" to tell is full of "holes" and is incomplete and this "we KNOW" shit, is just that.callmeslick wrote: we know the truth of the numbers for the Green Energy projects(overall, jobs were created), we KNOW Fast and Furious was a Bush administration plan, we now KNOW that the IRS targetted groups of all political pursuasions(thanks to murky tax regs).
