GOP house majority leader Eric Cantor has been ousted by a Tea Party metrosexual.
The GOP is starting to eat it's own young.
Hillary may as well start picking out color swatches for the new Oval Office.
Canadians are laughing.

as well they should. The Republican party, as one (unaffiliated) politcal wonk wrote last night, is setting itself up for what insiders call a 'wave election' in 2016, which could bury the GOP forever. Things in 2014 may favor the Repubs, due to a lot of Dem seats up for election in the Senate, but starting in 2016, all those
newer GOP seats start coming up and the national/large scale election messaging from the GOP is a recipe for doom.

Doom, backwards is
Mood...which in itself?
Is really funny....and relational to the Dem/Repub future.
Old Pudfark sez: " I'm in the mood fer doom.....

  "
Pudfark sez: " There's yer hope and change Slick....brought to you by Obama. Folk's are sick of that lying sack of shit and his minions. "

what the voters were sick of wasn't Obama, but the whole status quo. It isn't like this guy was a typical Tea Party type backed by national clout. He was outspent by 25 to 1. He ran 68 TV ads, Cantor ran 3500 or so. Cantor took the race, and the district, for granted to focus on his personal power trip. That district is a GOP slam dunk. Much political clout went into making it that way during redistricting in 2010. That was done to protect Cantor's seniority, and thus, his clout. All that is gone now. It will be interesting to see how much the 'throw the bums' out attitude burns incumbants this cycle.
oh, and the folks who win the prize for overpaid employment? The polling firm that told Cantor last weekend that he was ahead by 32%..........

Did you watch him on TV?
He looked like Alice looking through the Looking Glass!
He didn't know whether to shit or wind his watch!

To say he was shocked is a huge understatement!

this may turn out to be an interesting election. Given the makeup of the district, the Republican will win, but you will have debates between two employed collegiate Professors. Given my experience, this could be lively, witty and intellectual, or a complete bore.
