A Complete Waste of Space

This is what's really happening on the border, regardless of what Janet Napolitano says. Since she's been in control of Homeland Security she's:
* Ended worksite raids;
* Prohibited state and local police from turning over regular illegal aliens (i.e., those who have not committed any crimes except illegal entry or other crimes associated with being in the United States illegally) to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE);
* Rescinded the so-called “No-Match Rule” which told employers to fire known illegal-alien workers; and
* Worked to repeal the REAL ID Act, which prevents illegal aliens from obtaining state driver’s licenses, among other things.

Now Obama Bin Laden is going to lay off 180 Border Patrol Agents. Not that Bush did much better but I'm about fed up with both parties, but since Slick is decrying how wonderful the DNC is he needs to wake up and pay attention.

DNC threw any, and all immigration reform on the back of the bus during the State of the Union address
“Continue the work of fixing our broken immigration system.” Pfffft, another ineffectual leader in office worried about...what? fucking votes of course

Should have read, starting tomorrow, we are going to track down all illegals, send them home with a T-shirt, and within 30 days, remove all undocumented workers from our welfare system including Medicaid and our education system.

* There were 2.8 million illegal immigrants living in California in 2006, the last year for which there are relatively good figures, according to the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California. That represented about 8% of the state's population and roughly a quarter of the nation's illegal immigrants. About 90% of California's illegal immigrants were from Latin America; 65% from Mexico.

* There are roughly 19,000 illegal immigrants in state prisons, representing 11% of all inmates. That's costing $970 million during the current fiscal year. The feds kick in a measly $111 million, leaving the state with an $859 million tab.

* Schools are the toughest to calculate. Administrators don't ask kids about citizenship status. Anyway, many children of illegal immigrants were born in this country and automatically became U.S. citizens.

If you figure that the children of illegal immigrants attending K-12 schools approximates the proportion of illegal immigrants in the population, the bill currently comes to roughly $4 billion. Most is state money; some local property taxes.

* Illegal immigrants aren't entitled to welfare, called CalWORKs. But their citizen children are. Roughly 190,000 kids are receiving welfare checks that pass through their parents. The cost: about $500 million, according to the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst's Office.

So is there any recourse here for the average joe to take action against the fed or states on this? Say an illegal commits a crime can the dude make a case in court saying this is a direct result of such and such policy and make them pay?

It's difficult to sue the government for anything, but there's always a first.

There's a great new series on the Nat Geo channel, has to do with ICE, Border Patrol, etc and it shows the truth about what's going on. Most people that are for illegals would change their minds if they saw what was really going on down there. Except for Slick, he's not smart enuf to know that kidnapping and drug smuggling are making the cartels richer and more willing to kill. It used to be there would be no deaths from dealing weed. Not so any more.

Funny, cuz I heard the border patrol agents themselves say that they've been shot at by guys carrying bundles of weed. It was right on TV for god and everybody (who has cable) to see. Pull your head out of the sand. Weed is huge business and when it comes to the benjamins people will kill for those.
